Obviously, this is not a general rule, as plenty of colognes last long without having a harsh opening, but these are probably using ingredients that aren't as unpleasant in high concentrations. This is my first ever fragrance to get as perfume collector , and I blind bought this off of reviews , and also since I love the orginal creed aventus smell . Major sillage, intense projection; I could smell this all day yesterday when I sprayed just the nook of my elbow. If you have it you will know it's special cause the presentation is better than anything I ever experienced as someone who's been collecting and loving fragrances in the triple decades.

The opening is a well-composed burst of tart lemon, a notable improvement over the somewhat unpleasant EDT introduction.

This is heavily focused on synthetic and harsh fruit note wich remind me of some kind of toilet cube.

DNA of this fragrance (or I should say, of Aventus) is obviously very popular and becoming overused.Parfum is less coarse during the opening, which is better than the EDT in that aspect but everything else goes down the drain later. An update after letting my bottle set for a couple of month's, i must say that this is now an amazing scent.

I only bring it up because these are the only 3 fragrances I can recommend 1000% for men, although I would recommend getting a sample of Carlisle since it is quite expensive indeed, and notoriously takes a couple of tries for most people before REALLY being able to appreciate its glory.

I go for the EDT when I want something slightly more masculine as it is more woody and smoky than the PP. Whoever says that this fragrance (EDT version) got rotten lemon or lemon sanitizer smell must be kidding. All i can smell it lemon and i really want to like this fragrance but idk maybe its just my nose or this particular batch that i have.
