About this deal

This is really simple all you need is 350ml of water which you then pour into the tank and then carefully pour in the packet of eggs. Here you will find lots of reviews for days out, products, and holidays as well as some parenting advice and opinion pieces. We have a small scoop that came with the kit, which measures out a very tiny amount that we get to feed them.

There are different themes when it comes to the starter sets for Aqua Dragons and each kit includes everything that you will need to set it up; food, eggs and instructions and even the tank to grow them in. We really enjoyed watching the Aqua dragons grow and I have to say it might of been more for me than the kids but we did all really enjoy it. This kit contains even more hibernating dragon eggs, as well as more food to keep them growing and healthy! The instructions were easy to understand however, I would recommend you read the instructions fully before you start as half way through it tells you the water should be bottled not tap!Rounding up to 4 stars because I love watching sea creatures and the product is better advertised than Sea Monkeys. Aqua Dragons are three eyed, long tailed gracious funny little swimming animals from the crustacea family, that its eggs can be preserved in salt for long periods of time and hatched again one introduced into water! If you have a 400ml tank already, or you want to hatch a new set of Aqua Dragons this product is for you.

All in all value for money, a great novalty present that has everything you need to grow water dragons. Aqua Dragons are fun for kids, and animal lovers who will choose the exact moment they will bring to life their beloved pets! You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. As when the batteries need changing they are on the bottom of the tank and it’s not going to be too easy to change them. They make the ideal hands on STEM toy for children of most ages and they make a great first pet too.Other than that, and sometimes using the provided droplet to add a bit of air into the bottom of their tank, they are super easy to care about pets!

It does not require a lot of time, either at set up, or to maintain and then becomes a bit like a fish tank, only you don’t need to clean it out in the same way. I would say that children over 6 could do it themselves but that a parent should be on hand to offer help with opening packets and double checking measurements if needed. If you do not want to wait for the water to evaporate, or you do not think you have nay eggs in the tank, you can purchase packets of new eggs instead. It is a long process for kids to understand but I think it is good for them to get to grips with looking after a pet. The experience also includes signing a responsible Aqua Dragons ownership certificate, learning about the life cycle and anatomy of the creatures as you watch them swim and play in their tank. With a variety of different themes available, each educational kit includes everything you need including food, eggs and instructions.

The sets are aimed at children aged 6 and if they are going to care for them by them selves but I think that younger ones will still enjoy setting up their habitat if they have some help, our two year old loved it. Unlike the shrimp that we already have, these ones move almost like they are glitched in a video game, kinda moving forward, floating, then moving forward again. Caring for your Aqua Dragons you will see Them eat, play, grow and learn about the differences between males and females and even how they reproduce. We've had them going eight days now, and I'll be honest I really didn't think we'd get ANYTHING to hatch, as the whole thing sounds very gimmicky. By day 3 we could just make out a few tiny dots in the tank and the kids enjoyed looking at these through the magnifying glass.Don't discriminate against those creatures simply because they are made of less cells than a human being, and certainly don't let them drown in a toilet bowl alive. Regarding food, we didn't even feed the hatchlings until three days after hatching, and only used a level spoon of the food (with the spoon provided) it totally covered the top of the water. a packet of food, a pipette to aerate the tank, a feeding spoon and a magnifying glass so you can keep an eye on your little dragons. It is also possible that they will reproduce in their aquarium meaning you will have aqua dragons for as long as you continue to care for them.
