About this deal

Now that may sound silly as I should’ve expected that from a snack claiming to be ‘really cheesy’ but I had purchased crisps that were supposed to taste like Wotsits, not the pungent dairy product.

The first being that ‘if something ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ and if Walkers want to impress not only me, but the British public with an outstanding flavour, then they should consider bringing back BBQ Rib flavour. A Walkers spokesperson said: "A recent IT system upgrade has disrupted the supply of some of our products. Its latest venture has seen it create a limited edition range of crisps that taste like other crisps.Opening the packet gave me some hope as the smell evoked familiarity with the pickled onion flavour I was expecting. This taste test revealed to me that sometimes taste is just as important as texture, and the next time I question why a food looks the way it does, I’m going to trust that it is for a reason. Vardy scored in 11 consecutive Premier League games in 2015 breaking Ruud van Nistelrooy’s previous record of ten.

In 2010 with the help of celebrities including Frank Lampard, Jenson Button and Al Murray, Walkers visited the town of Sandwich in Kent to show how any sandwich can be more exciting with Walkers. The company is frequently asked about flavours on X, formerly known as Twitter, and more often than not they have to break the news that they have ditched famous varieties. While we have taken care in preparing this summary and believe it is accurate, it is not a substitute for your reading the product packaging and label prior to use. In 2015 Mixups were launched – a combination of some childhood favourites – Doritos, Monster Munch, Wotsits and French Fries - all in one bag. They still had the sour qualities of what you’d expect from eating that flavour, however it was nowhere near as prominent as the originals felt when I tried them directly after.

Whilst Bestway Wholesale uses reasonable endeavors to ensure that the product information presented is accurate and up to date it does not accept any liability for any information which may not be accurate, it is not a substitute for reading the product packaging or label prior to use. The flavours have been absent from supermarket shelves in recent weeks but now the demise of both has been officially confirmed. It is almost a British tradition to try a new Walkers’ crisps invention as they are released, no matter how unhinged the flavour combinations may be. However, food products are constantly being improved so their ingredients and the other information we publish here, including details of their nutritional content and allergy advice, is liable to change. Potatoes, Vegetable Oils (Sunflower, Rapeseed, in varying proportions), Pickled Onion Seasoning [Flavourings, Dried Onion, Salt, Acid (Citric Acid), Sugar, Potassium Chloride, Dried Mustard], Antioxidants (Rosemary Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Tocopherol Rich Extract, Citric Acid).

Potato crisps were becoming increasingly popular with the public, so he decided to shift the company focus and began hand-slicing and frying potatoes to make crisps. Many Walkers fans were recently left fuming after hearing the news that the nation's favourite crisp firm were culling their Worcestershire sauce flavour - and they join a long list of other flavours which have come and gone in recent years. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you always read the actual product label carefully before using or consuming any product.

The brand was first founded by Henry Walker in 1948, and become the UK's leading crisp supplier in the 1990s. Also featuring in the 2008 Do Us A Flavour campaign, the idea was thought up by 26-year-old marketing executive Martyn Wright, from Hednesford.

The Sun previously r evealed that the crisp maker had asked supermarkets to remove promotions to avoid shortages. Speaking on his suggestion, he said: "The gentle Cajun flavouring will be delicious, and although the idea might sound bizarre, it really works. The winner of 2008's Do Us A Flavour campaign back in 2008, the Builder's Breakfast flavour lasted less than two years.I was under no illusion that these new crisps were going to be an exact replica of their inspirations but had this been a blind taste test, I highly doubt I would’ve identified these as being the equivalent of ‘Wotsits’. Maize, Rapeseed Oil, Pickled Onion Seasoning [Flavourings, Whey Permeate (from Milk), Onion Powder, Sugar, Flavour Enhancers (Monosodium Glutamate, Disodium 5'-Ribonucleotide), Salt, Potassium Chloride, Garlic Powder, Hydrolysed Soya Protein, Acid (Citric Acid), Spices]. WALKERS has been hit by issues affecting the production of crisps ranging from prawn cocktail to cheese and onion. The Museum of Crisps recently revealed to Leicestershire Live all of the old flavours that you can no longer get your hands on. The soft crunch of the popular snack was greatly missed and I realised that the reason I enjoy Wotsits is largely down to the texture, though the lack of crunch was not the reason for this failing.
