CORNERSTONE CHAMBER CHOIRRenowned for their quality and captivating performances, the Cornerstone Chamber Choir's most recent Choral offering on 31/3/19 was of two very popular works - Brahms Requiem and Fauré Requiem. With its beautiful acoustics and friendly, warm atmosphere, the multi-purpose Milton Keynes City Church is a pleasure to perform in and ideal for our concerts. Examples of works performed are Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Monteverdi’s Vespers, Handel’s Judas Macabeus, Messiah and Samson, Bach’s Mass in B minor, Magnificat, Christmas Oratorio, St Matthew and St John Passions, Haydn’s Creation, The Seasons, Nelson and Maria Theresa Masses, Mozart’s Mass in C Minor and Requiem, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Sullivan’s Trial by Jury, Britten's Saint Nicolas, Finzi's In terra pax, Rutter’s Magnificat, Gloria and Requiem, Tippett’s A Child of Our Time, Poulenc’s Gloria and Verdi’s Requiem and the demanding Seven Last Words from the Cross by James Macmillan. Our next concert on 7th July 2019 will be to raise funds for Advantage Africa when we sing Fanshawe's African Sanctus. The Choir has raised over £20,000 for various charities since it formed in 1992.Conductor Adrian Boynton never fails to achieve the best possible results from his musicians. Audience and musicians alike come away buzzing after one of our concerts.We are all amateurs with varying abilities who like to perform high quality music.
