About this deal

We are so thrilled to present to you… THE SHATTER ME DELUXE SET, brought to you in collaboration with @ tahereh and @ electricmonkeybooks! Ignite Me: Best book of the Series so far. Get Yourself a Kenji. Warner MVP! Adam.. we're cool, you should date Alia. Lots of Goosebump moments. Also, so many gifts (or powers or however you want to call it)! Of course Warner's also the coolest in that department. Imagine Me: Well, very fast paced, and multiple time skips. Anderson was such a glorious villain, Kenji and Warner brotherly love is everything, and an amazing fight no one saw coming. Although he is protective of Juliette and would risk himself and give up his life for her, he knows she can take care of herself and respects how strong and powerful she is. He has full confidence in her and reminds her how capable she is all the time.

Juliette has never fought for herself before. But when she's reunited with the one person who ever cared about her, she finds a strength she never knew she had. Unfortunately you cannot sell a multi book series for the premise of a love interest while forgetting everything else in the series needs attention to detail as well. Well, I guess you can, but it’s going to receive a scathing review from me. Since it's Juliette, there was still some (a lot) emotional garbage and reasoning but she eventually found the right guy and the wrong guy turned into DEFINETELY the wrong guy (called it) and even though it ended kind of before the real action probably would have started (what with taking over the world and such) it ended on a good note. It doesn't make it okay. He did not deserve or earn her forgiveness. And once I've finished annotating all of these books, I will share with you all why that is. Soooooo I had only read about 10 chapters of the first book when I wrote that first part and since then I have read Unravel me and about eight chapters of Ignite Me.

Customer Reviews

Her and Warner being inlove, Adam gets his shit together, and the world gets fixed, (Or maybe not).

Rip-roaring adventure and steamy romance scenes, with a relationship teens will root for as much as they did for Bella and Edward." -- ALA BooklistShadow Me: Kenji's perspective. The everything-is-cheerful-when-he's-around guy of the series.. has a dark secret? Juliette, the main character throughout, is a strong compassionate and full force of a female character. She fights with her emotions and her mentality thinking that she is what everyone's called her her entire life. A monster. Except for one person, Adam Kent, who didn't believe this to be true.

The rest of the book is kind of a blur because I read all three one after the other and can't seperate them anymore (thank Goodreads for this three book thingy). Also, I just need to give some praise to Kenji as well. He can be funny, but there is so much more to him than his jokes. Love ya Kenji 💗 Sooo, to be honest, I have no idea how many stars I should give this. Ignite Me probably three. Unravel me... One? Two? I really can't say and it always pains me to give less than three stars because I know how much work, how much love, how much blood, sweat and tears go into a book like that and I feel really bad but it's just MY opinion and obviously most people loved the series but I really couldn't stand that book and..... Which is where I'm going to critize the world building. I get that Juliette apparently wasn't interested in figuring out what exactly was going on with the world and the Reestablishment, but it did feel wrong for her to not ask for proof when Castle told her that the world was, in fact, better off than they thought. Or for her to never again show any interest in why she has the power she's so afraid of. To be honest, the Shatter Me series is one of the best series I have read in a while. The characters, twists, plot, and storyline are all up to mark, but the way Tahereh Mafi describes every single minute of detail is what fascinates me the most.

So much action, finally, FINALLY badass and strong Juliette, so much Warner (though I have to admit I was kind of sad that he's really just a good guy in disguise and that Juliette made him so much less cool). Tahereh Mafi is a great author. Seriously, her writing style is amazing and her characters three-dimensional, believable people. the characters also had a good amount of depth and development, which was really surprising for a ya series that I didn't expect much from. probabile che non sia esperta di young adult, ma l’evoluzione del racconto è stata a dir poco lineare, senza veri colpi di scena, imprevisti, situazioni di tensione seria. Troubled, and rightfully so, youth are drawn together by unseen forces finding relationships of all kinds through each other. Father figures and little brothers tugging at heart strings you didn't know you had. The war between truth and reality you will have with yourself will be taxing.
