So I am either going to need a large container and gallons of evapo-rust or use the recommend method of using paper towels covered in the rust remover. I think some commercial rust removers may be citric with a corrosion inhibitor added, this makes sure the citric takes off rust but does not attack the metal at all, but I've never felt the need to use such a product, but can see why they could be useful.
