The Spider-Man Cutting Room: An interactive tool that allows users to create their own clips with some music and sound effects.Maybe that's why I find a franchise like 'Spider-Man' more compelling than, say, those old Batman films of the late '80s and early '90s. But the 4K transfers are top-notch and worth the upgrade if you - like me - got stuck all this time with the DVDs. The UHD Blu-ray was reviewed on a Samsung UE55KS8000 Ultra HD TV and a Samsung UBD-K8500 Ultra HD Blu-ray player.

Even though Sony has delivered somewhat inconsistent audio specs with this box set, the end result is a home theater experience that rivals the best reference-quality soundtracks you're likely to hear. Moving from the suburbs to the big city after high school graduation may grant him the buildings needed to be an efficient webslinger, but it will also help the nefarious Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) find his first true nemesis.There are also some Director and Composer Profiles, Screen Tests, a Gag Reel, Music Videos, Trailers and even some VFX Outtake Easter Eggs. When the action kicks into high gear, the detail never turns soft or pixelated but is instead rich and full of life.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is not only one of the best superhero movies, but one of the better films of any genre to be released. For once, I'd love to see Maguire, unable to see though tin foil eyes, finally fall on his arse in the costume. Sony's 2012 individual Blu-ray release of 2002's 'Spider-Man' contains a bevy of supplemental content not previously available on the 2007 boxed set. Then, just as screen fades to black, we're left salivating at how the third chapter will wrap it all up. But just when it seems like things can't get any better, Spider-Man must fight the most terrifying trio of villains he's ever encountered – the deadly Sandman, the New Goblin, and Venom – plus the enemy he discovers within himself.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced Spider-Man and Spider-Man for Blu-ray release on November 16. Until now, the first two Spidey movies were only available as part of the box set Spider-Man: The High Definition Trilogy, released in October 2007. While there is no Dolby Vision here, this 1080p transfer is one for the record books and looks phenomenal.

Presented in what's billed as "optimized sound" (which is really just hard-encoded picture-in-picture video), this one shows a scoring session and the final film as a series of composited sequences. The 'Spider-Man' films have always been produced under a shroud of secrecy, with even a stolen, blurry snapshot posted on the web suddenly big news. Unfortunately, the Blu-ray version does NOT come with a Dolby Atmos track, but rather a DTS-HD MA 5. Spider-Man also gets a distinct upgrade on the aural front, with a tremendous Dolby Atmos track founded upon an already very impressive Dolby TrueHD 7. Much like Luke Skywalker's struggle in the 'The Empire Strikes Back,' there is something particularly compelling about a hero when he's at his low point, after he's just learned some big painful truth about his past and seems to have lost it all.

The first film was the perfect commercial marriage between a piece of iconic, classic comic book pulp and a filmmaker with a wholly unique visual sensibility tailor-made for the material.
