I bought a couple of bottles of this and while it is certainly a good offering from Appletons, to me it doesn't taste the same, maybe more oak and not quite as smooth. I have been a great fan of the 12 Year Old Rare Blends, considering it to be a good alternative to the 21 Year old at 20-25% of the cost. However, this rum is pretty smooth and does well with mixers to make basic cocktails, would recommend.
