Who do you see as your target audience and what is the brief you get from the Daily Mail about what they want?A bit late but I had a busy start to the year hanging out (literally) in my swimwear doing a wine tasting in a hot tub halfway up a Swiss mountain ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. I had three children under five at the time so the blog was my way of carving out time to focus on something other than work or kids.

Try the Loire Valley for whites, Navarra in Spain for rosé and smaller appellations in Southern France for reds and you’ll get great value for money compared with some of the big wine region names. We celebrated with a (very) long lunch in the garden just a few weeks ago and honestly, my fifties feel like I’ve arrived at a party I’ve been wanting to go to for ages.

Presented in a humorous, chatty style this book is an intelligent, hugely informative wine guide and McGinn is certainly well qualified to pass on advice. You have also as a result had a fair bit of contact with celebrities along the way, can you share any good stories with us?
