About this deal

You cannot attempt to cast the same spell more than once in the same hero phase, even with a different WIZARD. Nagash fixed his baleful gaze upon many souls – champions of unconquerable tribes, tyrant-kings of long-forsaken empires, matriarchs of bloodthirsty sisterhoods. For the most secretive missions and empire-building, he favoured Arkhan the Black, Mortarch of Sacrament. This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble Lady Olynder, Mortarch of Grief. In mine I based her in Celestial Grey and then painted a thin layer of Corax White and then thinned down Nihilakh Oxide to catch the details.

Unless stated otherwise, the ward roll is made before the wound is allocated to the model in question. Refunds will be made via the payment method originally used, so please be sure to bring the card you originally paid with. Even when her lands, cities and throne room were all but empty of life, Lady Olynder felt no real grief, and she attempted to parley with the agents of Nurgle. She attacks the forces of the Chaos warlord Thur in the Underworld of Lyria quickly wiping the majority of his horde.

The Veiled Lady had again risen to rule over old Dolorum, although it had become a land swarming with wraiths and spectres. Hovering above the ground in her ghastly bridal dress and veil, little can be seen of her form other than the outline of a skull. Please note our Royal Mail service is not tracked, and if you require tracking for your parcel, you should choose UPS at checkout. In addition to being surrounded by an aura of absolute misery, Lady Olynder is also a powerful sorceress. If you notify us of a fault more than 6 months after you bought a product, you must be able to prove that the fault was present at the time of purchase (Consumer Rights Act 2015 again). As the Mortarch of Grief, she is surrounded by an aura of absolute misery – this miniature does an impressive job of capturing the bleakness. Lady Olynder is accompanied by a pair of banshee handmaidens – one bearing a gift from Nagash himself – a Grave-sand hourglass.

In life she had been Lady Olynder, a beauty famed throughout the empire of Dolorum – the largest of civilisations from the lands known since the Age of Chaos as the Screaming Wastes. She had propelled herself ever upwards through society using schemes and her charms and leaving a trail of broken hearts and corpses. After the passing of many centuries, during which Nagash gave not a single thought to her fate, the god was surprised at what he found when he discovered her once more. A hit roll cannot be modified by more than +1 or -1 (this is an exception to the principle that abilities take precedence over core rules). Finally at this point, Nagash himself intervened and transformed her into a spectre that would haunt the ruins of her own lands, weighed down with the sorrows of the dead of the Mortal Realms – he then turned his attention elsewhere. However the empire was soon after assailed by the plagues of Nurgle and all her living subjects began to perish and at the last she herself tried to bargain with the agents of the Chaos god. At the siege of Morlaix she destroyed the Stormcast defenders, defeating their Lord-Celestant in single combat.

So did Olynder become the Veiled Lady, a spectre burdened to feel all the miseries of the Mortal Realms and forced to haunt the ruins of Dolorum.

She is possessed of such misery that it projects from her in vast, deadly waves and those who fight her often loose hope and accept the grim inevitability of death – should they have the will to fight on, they are quickly obliterated by her magic, or merely torn apart by spectral attendants. On a 5+, that command is not received (it still counts as having been used) and the command point that was spent to issue that command is lost. Lady Olynder is the embodiment of sorrow, anguish and projects a feeling of desolation so potent that most lay down their weapons and only those with a strong will can even remain standing. At the start of your shooting phase, you can pick 1 enemy unit within 12" of this unit and roll a dice. Variously known as the Mourning Bride, the Unrequited Queen, the Veiled Lady and the mortarch of Grief, Lady Olynder is despair made manifest.
