I do wish the little handle that’s sewn onto the bottom of the mattress were a different color because literally every time I tore the pack ’n play down and packed it up, I ended up putting it in the wrong direction, which meant the handle wasn’t sticking out for me to carry it. While this economical option isn't the right fit for every family and it doesn't deny the use of flame retardants, we think it is a good choice for parents on a budget and that most families will be pleased with the features, functionality and overall quality of the Pack 'n Play. Some manufacturers offer 12 months warranty where as some manufacturers offer 2 years, with some manufacturers even offering further warranty. While it won't help you while traveling, it can help if you plan to use it as a play yard or safe place to rest baby while you divert your attention.

You *may want to “upgrade” to the version that DOES come with a bassinet insert that raises the base level of the sleeping surface, because this is a big help with newborns when you’re laying them down/picking them up (however many zillion times a day… this part is definitely nice to have). The first is the newborn/baby stage (usually up until baby starts to sit up or is 6 months – whichever is sooner). Despite its weight, by far and away, the PNP is the most useful baby item we have bought to date (and no, Graco doesn’t pay me to say this stuff). While the carrying bag can be machine washed, the mattress pad will have to be wiped down if it gets dirty. I have noticed that if any liquid gets on the surface of the changing table it needs to be wiped well with something very dry to make sure it’s all gone. I have a small crossover SUV and a family of four so when we travel we have to be very conscious about storage space. We keep the Graco Pack n Play Travel Cot ( US link)in the family room and use it for baby M’s daytime sleep.Even if you don’t travel or socialize much outside the house, this is nice to have for the backyard or even just your living room if you need to keep your newly mobile baby in one spot while you work on something. It would be difficult to safely lift or put down an infant in this play yard since it’s so low to the ground.

I would definitely purchase the Graco Pack n Play Travel Cot ( US link) again and would recommend it to my friends and followers as “the” must have baby essential for a busy and full household. Yes I agree it is on the heavy side but it really is a life save so I hope I will like it just as much for travelling with. Now it’s slightly harder as he is much more aware of his surroundings and reacts to the slightest sounds.
