Guided Walk: Milton Keynes – A Skateboarder's Paradise - MK Gallery - Milton Keynes

Learn to see Milton Keynes with skateboarders' and architects' eyes. These guided walks, led by local skateboarders and architects, are designed to ensure walkers get to see the best skate spots, to understand what makes Milton Keynes so special for skateboarding, and to learn about key moments in local skateboarding history.Starting at MK Gallery and ending at the Buszy (Old Bus Station), you will start with a screening of the film: I Heart MK and a hot drink before setting off on a two mile walk to encounter, amongst others, the Beige, the Double Set and the Buszy. The walk lasts approximately two hours, with the first 30 minutes indoors. Dress for the weather! The walk does include some locations with steps. At the end of the walk, if you need to return to the shopping centre near the gallery, it is possible to take a Station Hooper service with Arriva buses for £1 from MK Central Station.Anyone under the age of 16 years will need to be accompanied by an adult. A maximum of four children/young people per adult. Please note, this guided walk is one of four, all of which follow the same route and showcase the same points of interest.See the MK Skate website (https://mkskate.org) for more information about the project.Photographs will be taken at all events which may be used for marketing and social media by MK Council to promote the MK Skate project, and used in the MK Skate book.
