This seems like it shouldn't be a victory. And yet, the list of movies who've accomplished the same feat is painfully abbreviated. Don't talk to me about Blue is the Warmest Color, a movie made famous for its extended, impractical sex scenes and allegations of harassment by its director, Abdellatif Kechiche. Kechiche reportedly bullied the two female protagonists as well as his staff, forcing them to work 16-hour workdays under extreme pressure. Critics further accused the director of creating "voyeuristic" sex scenes intended to solicit the male gaze. And get ready for a two and half hours modern masterpiece with Cate Blanchet. People say it’s even her best role yet. The movie is about a lesbian conductor named Lydia Tár, played by Cate Blanchett, who’s the first-ever female conductor of a major German orchestra.

It’s hard concentrating on two things at once, especially when one involves your clitoris. In attempts to document “the battle between the body and the mind,” NYC-based photographer Clayton Cubitt decided to film a series of women individually seated at a table with a book. When the camera begins recording, they introduce themselves and begin reading. Under the table, outside of the subject's control, an unseen assistant distracts them with a vibrator. The subjects stop reading when they're too distracted or fatigued to continue, at which point they restate their name and what they've just read. There was a similar example in Home and Away when Morgan Weaving, the younger sister of regular Samara Weaving, was cast as Lottie Ryan, the love interest of Dexter Walker... who was the younger brother of Samara's character Indigo Walker. The fact that the two sisters' voices are pretty much exactly the same led some fans to complain that Dexter was dating a girl who looked and sounded exactly like his sister, and pretty much every Fan Fic featuring Lottie feels obliged to have someone point this out. Both lead actresses are stunning, and they have great chemistry. I Can’t Think Straightcan’t be missed on this list of romantic lesbian movies.They pretended to be ‘just friends’ for most of their lives, but came out to their family just a couple of years ago. And they’re French! So imagine the enthusiasm when Rafiki came: a movie about two Kenyan girls who fall in love, directed by a female Kenyan director! Sudden-onset gayness: no buildup; out of the blue, a straight girl is a lesbian because she meets a lesbian.Fast-forward, and without too many spoilers, the two women start dating. It all starts pretty awkward but ends up being super cute. Especially when Jessica is accepted by her family.

This Swedish movie is similar to All Over Me. It’s about two girls (but they’re not friends) who develop feelings for each other. The intimate scenes are great, and lesbian director Tali Shalom Ezer’s storytelling is very well done. The movie’s tagline is “a love story in the city of dreams”, and that love story is between two women! In Parallax, the Martin Dunkly from Ben's World (Kasmir Sas) is frequently hitting on the Melinda (Francoise Sas) from Ben's world (and occasionally the one from Katherine's world, when he mistakes her for the Melinda from Ben's world) and trying to get together with her. The two are brother and sister in real life. Laurel, a detective from New Jersey, has cancer and needs to fight for her 19-year younger domestic partner Stacie to receive her pension rights.

I Care a Lot is one of the newer lesbian movies on Netflix, which you simply have to watch! This dark comedy thriller is mind-blowing. Prom is canceled at a high school in a small conservative town in Indiana, when Emma wants to bring her girlfriend as a date.
