About this deal

It has the ability to compute slope and lock onto targets via haptic feedback, while the HD display and adjustable EZ Optic Focus clears up targets in bright or dark conditions. There are three main styles of rangefinders on the market, but the most common version—the laser rangefinder—uses a beam aimed at a target to determine its distance. There is nothing that makes me happier than a new unit stepping up and letting you know that your other units are not as good as you thought they were. All things being equal, most people are going to choose the Bushnell if for no other reason than that’s the company they’re familiar with, and that’s the brand they’re constantly seeing ads for. Bushnell has improved the sightline view, too, even though it didn’t seem to worry owners of the previous model.

Cobalt Q-4 Slope Rangefinder Review | Golf Monthly

There are scores of golfers who love to hit the links at first light before heading to work, and others who play twilight golf to save a few bucks.

The Gogogo Sport Vpro GS03 golf rangefinder lacks some extended features, but it still estimates distances with accuracy. From rangefinders to watches and speakers, their technology makes them the leading brand in the golf industry. When there was cloud cover or a darker situation you could easily ratchet up the brightness a little bit, or go the opposite direction when needed as well. In bright, sunny conditions, it will go to the black-only display, which is best for high contrast targets showing readings in crisp detail. Essentially, this rangefinder offers everything you need, nothing you don’t, and it costs less than a tank of gas these days.

Together, these features provide visible, physical, and audible feedback so you can be confident in your ranging. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; if you’re playing golf without a quality laser rangefinder, you’re leaving shots out on the course. Because a rangefinder is only as good as its optics and its technology, we only use the best glass available. Beginners aren’t nearly as familiar with gauging distances, especially in terms of yards, but an entry-level rangefinder can help resolve any confusion. The Q-6 Slope also features the SmartSwitch - an integrated switch that allows you to easily toggle Slope Mode on and off. While I can’t say warranties are a often big deal to me; I did have another brand of laser rangefinder that had its LED display partially go out.

Doing so will narrow down your options and make it that much easier to find the model that will improve your game.Of course, the slope function can be turned on and off with the push of a button, making it completely legal for tournament use when required. All the functionality - switching distances from yards to meters with the push of a button, increasing the screen's brightness by turning a knob and the ability to focus the eye with a simple twist - is easy to figure out without directions. Or is it another gimmick meant to separate itself from the increasingly strong rangefinder competition? The Q-6 Slope also features a scan mode that allows golfers to acquire multiple yardages by holding down the power button and moving from one target to another. The only reason it lost a point was due to the weight being more than other units and slightly larger.

The Q-4 also has PinSense and Surge technologies, a feature found on the more expensive Cobalt Q-6 rangefinder. But I started a routiune where after my last shot into the 9th or 18th green, I take my glove and ranger finder and put them away. And the 1/10th calculations and incredible implementation of target lock vibration inspired a confidence in the device that is a step up from other devices I’ve used. It also took me a second to twist the focus knob enough to get it to change, I think I am used to cheap/flimsy rangefinders which this is NOT.
