About this deal

As I’ve said on previous chats, if a club is genuinely blindsided by a manager departing, that’s on them. It’s a relative banality that a Head of Recruitment should be constantly prepared for. But Celtic has stood incredibly strong against that tide. Aside from a mild suggestion from our manager that fans should observe the courtesies, Celtic itself has refused to be cowed. Our fans refuse to be cowed. Paul Larkins third book on the problems of Scottish football, and its causes, is released tomorrow.

The only thing causing me any alarm is the nature of this narrative being leaked to the likes of yourself. If anyone is briefing against Ange for doing what literally anyone would have done, then it suggests a deflection tactic. As extraordinary as it might appear that so many people are willing to wait for hours upon hours to walk by a coffin, we have to remember that on this island there are 67 million of us, and the vast majority are warm at home and baffled by those images. Some writers think the best way to do this is to add little footnotes and source references in the text, which breaks the readers concentration, and lessens the effect of the narrative. As streams are becoming increasingly common, this section will also mark any notable documentaries/videos on Celtic.

Frank: “The reality is there. I have been to Celtic games home and away for 30 years. I can’t go now. But I did. I watches all the games. There’s nothing you can tell me that I’ve never seen. The point I am trying to make to your listeners is it’s not what I wanted to see, it’s not we are hard done by, it’s reality.” This one focuses on the men in the middle, though as you read the book, you realise that they aren’t in the middle at all.

Barkas of course is a move that simply hasn’t panned out and had Gordon hung around at Celtic it wouldn’t have been a big task to take the gloves from the Greek ‘keeper. If he had his Celtic career may have lasted longer than it did – and Celtic’s concession of goals may well have improved last year. Following the deadline day signing of Aaron Ramsey Macintyre tweeted that he was a Rangers fan, it is virtually unheard of for a BBC Scotland reporter to admit to being a supporter of either of the big two Glasgow clubs. But really, the only good bit of it for them was the result today and we’re already focussing on moving past that when the international break is over. For now, we have to live with that one and ponder what went wrong. Nothing else is really important. Conspiracies' like this are very weak and can easily be disproved when you take into account the little things that Celtic and their warped followers choose to ignore such as them holding a UK record for penalties awarded in one single season, being allowed to win a Scottish cup final via a goal from a throw in which had been awarded the other way, or Lennon assaulting a referee yet only receiving a three match ban whilst a Hearts player who'd done a similar thing to a linesman got twice that, but why let the facts get in the way of a greetin faced, bonkers conspiracy that you've been essentially brought up to believe? He does it in such a way that is easy to follow, and with a book like this, the reader has to take the writer on trust.

Some may laugh at this sort of thing but these loonies are a dangerous and poisonous breed and the fact that this sort of guff is given approval by the club itself and not nationally ridiculed by the authorities and the press makes it all the worse, because it just goes to show the influence they have over people.Fair enough; his prerogative, entirely. But, if that’s the case, be prepared. Or don’t, and see what happens. But when it does, it’s your fault. why start the interview on a negative??? End of the day 3 points and a clean sheet job done. The players are human. Get on with it. Walker: “You think the game is corrupt. I don’t know if the people inside the Celtic boardroom feel the same way as you. Why not?” Instead of merely listing all the dark deeds against Celtic over the years, the author explains why they happened, and more importantly who was behind it, and the thinking behind them. Michael Duffy: Bottom line we should be at Hampden as we are the holders, Peter Lawwell not allowed to sit in the vote, great shout for Paul Larkin and Fergus, maybe now the board will take our concerns seriously and confront the bodies who put obstacles in the way of our team, “operation stop 10 in a row!

Might take a bit of time for this section to take shape but hopefully it will get there in the end. Documentary based on the popular 'The Asterisk Years' book by Paul Larkin, about the Establishment v Celtic A storming section where the guy absolutely ran rings around Walker, assaulting him with actual examples of what he’s talking about. He could have listed many, many more. Then 1995 big Pierre rose to give us the Scottish Cup, we could have done a cup double that year tbh and should have.
