About this deal

The Yamahas win on overall sound quality, but only by a whisker, and we do get the comments from some users that the KRKs are more suited to modern and punchier productions. But when it comes to your studio speakers, the sound is the all-important factor, and in the Yamaha's case, it is more controlled and slightly more refined. There really isn't much in it though. Also, the punchiness that comes out of the monitors gives the balnaced sound a nice heft to it. That seems to be a common benefit of smaller speakers. Once you get a song sounding good on these speakers, after hours of working on them, the song will definitely sound excellent on all other references, because they're very linear.

Because the low-drivers are 5'', you cannot hear the sub-bass that much (as in 6'' or 8'' woofers). Re-engineered from the ground up, the KRK ROKIT RP5 G4 is the product of 30 years of monitor innovation. A powerful D-class amplifier drives speakers evenly, delivering efficient performance far beyond its price. Another claim is that the KRK Rokit RP5 G4 line series minimizes listening fatigue, which is an important factor. That is not very easy to compare and verify, but as the other claims seem to be based on truth, we take it that long sessions should be more enjoyable on the G4 models than on the G3 speakers.

KRK RP5 Classic Studio Monitor, Single Overview

With the KRK Rokit RP5 G4, the quality of the bass is just right. Because of the woofer and the front-facing bass port, you get a good punchy lower end. If you want a strong pounding bass, you would have to add a subwoofer to your setup. Otherwise, you can just comfortably use this studio monitor if you like a balanced-out bass that is punchy but not too heavy on the beats. To wrap this up - if you're a tall bastard like me (196cm), it is worth noting that monitors would be best suited on stands.

The redesigned power amps, drivers, and cabinets play a big part in this because the G3 model was a whole different story. Our test made us shake off old preconceptions and find new respect for the Rokit G4 range of speakers. The digital precision with which one can set each KRK Rokit G4 monitor’s volume is beneficial, especially when pairing and calibrating your speakers.EQ options on speakers themselves are usually more in the broad stroke range, and the Rokit 5 G4 gives users a good bunch of brushes as it is. Lows The Rokit RP5 G4 has 25 different EQ settings. This is very impressive. It instantly equips you with great flexibility and versatility when adjusting the studio monitors. You can also customize sound based on what you like or need. For instance, if you don't want flat responses, you can switch up the low end to get more of that bass-heavy audio. With the KRK Rokit RP5 G4, you also get very good tuning options. This provides great flexibility and will equip you with the power to control the quality of sound you are getting. Across the frequencies, you further get very good sound. The Rokit RP5 G4 has great balance and spreads well across highs, lows, and Mids.
