About this deal

To apply it, simply use a sponge or spray to apply thin coats, drying in between each one. The hair dryer is key here, because otherwise you would have to wait a few hours between each coat before you could spray or gently wipe another layer of sealant on to the leather, and it would just take too long. When a leather item, such as a seat is worn, it looks past its best. Rather than removing the seat from your home, or seats from your car, you can restore them. Leather dyes, in paint or spray form, restore much-loved items, and also protect them from future harm.

Leather Prep: This is used to remove any manufacture's finish; this is an important step, so your new colour and/ or repair products adhere properly. The Colourant Kit should be used when changing the colour of your leather, the Re-Colouring Balm should only be used to restore colour to leather and not to change it. Alcohol Cleaner: This is used after the Leather Prep and is designed to remove any leftover residue from the Prep. There is a wide range of coloured options to consider with leather re-colouring balm, and it is easy to use, all you need is a cloth. You should buff the leather recoloring balm into the coat, furniture or leather surface until it is mixed so well, you cannot see the colour transfer. I'm unsure what size Leather Colourant Kit I require for my project, is there a general guide or 'rule of thumb'? The Leather Colourants are designed for restoring the colour and changing the colour of all leather items. The reason we recommend this colourant range over any other is the high rub fastness and scuff resistance characteristics: you will struggle to scuff or scratch them! The colourant used in the kit can be used on Vinyl, but the colourant layer will not adhere as well to the surface Vinyl as it does on leather. To counteract this, we advise that you apply our Adhesion Promoter before spraying on the colourant, this will ensure a suitable surface for the colourant to adhere to and provide better results and longevity. The Complete Leather Repair Kit provides enough colourant and the right equipment to cover touch ups to small areas and minor repairs.

Once the item is clean, you'll need to apply the dye. Make sure to follow the instructions that come with your particular kit, as some dyes may require different application methods. In general, however, you'll want to use a soft cloth or brush to apply the dye evenly across the surface of the leather. A wide range of pre-mixed standard colours to choose from; best suited if you are changing the colour of leather. Once you've applied the dye, you'll need to let it dry. Again, be sure to follow the instructions that come with your kit, as different dyes may have different drying times. Once the item is dry, you can enjoy your newly dyed leather! If you buy commercial leather dyes, you'll find detailed instructions on how to colour leather items. Please take the time to read instructions of leather colourants, because leather dyes are powerful. In saying that, they are highly effective to restore precious items, so it is a task worth undertaking. Always remove grease before you colour leather If you want to apply the top finish from our kit, then you'll be able to protect the dyed leather and let it speak for itself.A.
