We're back for the third time at our favourite sweatbox Eastern Bloc for another FREE night of Jackin! This time with no other than Manchester stalwart Russ Marland gracing the legendary E Bloc decks.Russ has been a regular on the Manchester scene since the mid 80's working in the famous 'Spin Inn' record shop on Cross Street, where he worked until the early 90s before going on to open Manchester Underground. A resident at the Hacienda for three years during the early 90s, Russ definitely knows his tunes, with a massive 15,000 + collection running right from the early beginnings through to the present day. After his Hacienda stint Russ started up 'Out In The Sticks' a night based at the Bluenote club in Todmorden where people came from all over the UK to hear the likes of Graeme Park, Jon Cutler, Brian Tappart & Russ himself week in, week out.These days you'll find Russ behind the counter at Vinyl Exchange, whilst he regularly still runs his 'Out In The Sticks' parties out of the Golden Lion in Tod!Russ knows what he's doing behind the decks so rock up early as this is bound to be a busy one! A seasoned club and festival regular (Beat-Herder, Vintage Festival, Solfest…), Paul has residencies in the Northern Quarter at Behind Closed Doors, Fair Play, and 45 Live Manchester, and not so long ago played alongside Mr Scruff at Preston Live Venue.- Henri Da CostaHenri, a Northampton native started buying vinyl during his teens, originally taking inspiration from US house and techno labels such as Strictly Rhythm, Balance, Cajual and Relief Records. A digger at heart, Henri's collection spans multiple genres from Detroit House to Jungle. Expect some serious warm-up chuggers!- Howard & Reiss JohnsonHoward's been listening & collecting electronic music from the early 80s since it started coming over the pond in the form of taped WBMX & WBLS radio shows, alongside listening to Mike Shaft's weekly show on Manchester’s Piccadilly Radio. When Reiss started frequenting Manchester's club scene in his teens an already well established knowledge & love for the music was re-ingited, and caused Reiss to start collecting records of his own.Father & Son duo Howard & Reiss are big adopters of the early 90s House sound. Chucking in some disco heaters for good measure along the way!Expect to hear music from the likes of...
