About this deal

Caged features two tortured characters who find bliss and life force in each other. The female character has a strong will and fights for freedom until the very end like a real heroine. I didn't quite know what to expect from this story, but it's a little devious, a little hot and very entertaining. It's written in a casual style with a few interesting sentences here and there that make food for thought and great quotes. You felt their pain and their struggles. There are various twists and turns in the story that will tempt the characters in ways they could never have imagined. If you like the dark mafia romances, then you will love the BEAST!

It's rare I give 5 stars to a book cover but this one hits all the right notes for me. A good representation of the hero. Fantastic composition and title work as well. The 2nd half “uncaged” was so ridiculous I skimmed about half of it. I enjoy a far fetched tail... look at my reading list... but there comes a point when you should have just ended the book while your ahead.Aurora Blom has a hard time looking away when it comes to her father’s cruel and sadistic ways. In fact, at one time he told her to never look away. She might have taken over her father’s business one day if not for a single wrong choice when she was seven. Now she just needs to keep quiet, look pretty, wear her gloves, and play the piano on cue. Still, she has seen a lot over the years, and it never gets any easier. When the violence finally catches up with her father, chaos ensues. Her father escapes, but Aurora finds My ARC copy included both CAGED and UNCAGED. I am not sure if they are going to be released as one long book or as a duet, but I have included a separate review for both here. I must say though, I really did enjoy the author bringing in tidbits about the Netherlands, I wish it had been more though as it left me with this disconnect. I know the author is Dutch, so I would have loved to have this expanded on a bit more. I nod a few times, pushing myself as far as I can into the wall so the blade doesn’t cut into me. But I can’t stop the whimper from leaving my mout NOW LIVE! Yes I get that he is a ‘Beast’, but at the end of the day, he is still human. Otherwise, what was the purpose of him being shot to end the first / begin the second parts of the story?

I still don’t get the rationale of the raw meat only being fed to Beast one time. Yes I know it was to demonstrate him being less than human, but he was never fed raw meat again, and nothing was ever mentioned again about that, or his reaction when waiting in the cage acting like he had rabies or something (I.e. foaming at the mouth, biting the bars, etc.). Obviously it was all an act because he was doing what was expected of him, but to not discuss it seems a bit senseless. So this read as a ridiculous OTT read to me, I hope that's what the author was going for. The sex scenes were hot but a lot of the plot I found had holes. This book thoroughly entertained me hence the 4 stars but it was in a 'boy this is ridiculous' kind of way, none of it seemed realistic. I have read this author before so I knew what to expect but I would suggest going into this expecting twisted and OTT and you will not be disappointed. Beast” doesn’t know how babies are made, but he knows what and where a clit is..? And calls his sperm “seed”, but still doesn’t know that planting seeds makes things grow..? 🙄🙄🙄 This story primarily takes place in the Netherlands. It opens when Luca and Jill are nine years old. But at the same time, she also finds herself falling for the gruff and at times naive male who is not surprisingly just a product of his environment. The Author Resource Round Table on Goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_folder/116489?group_id=26989

Other series that she would go on to write were titled ‘Fierce,’‘Delirious,’‘Company,’ and ‘Indecent Games,’ to name just a few. There would also be single titles such as ‘Ruin’ in 2016, along with omnibus editions bringing many of her books and series together. Contributing to other series alongside other fellow writers too, she’s gone on to become a USA Today and New York Times bestselling author reaching readers from all around the world.

Her soft breaths are like music to my ears, and I close my eyes so I can enjoy it more, the sound making me groan with delight. Feel free to invite some friends to join our Round Table community!http://www.goodreads.com/group/invite_members/26989-goodreads-authors-readers My review applies to both this book and it’s “sequel” so I’m going to copy and paste it both to save anyone interested in reading the time. I don’t even want to warn for spoilers because it’s hard to spoil something that barely contains a plot but SPOILER WARNING nonetheless. OK, so I didn't love this one as much as I did book one. A lot of my positive feelings from above remain the same for this book. That said, I thought this one dragged a lot, and I started to lose interest a bit as the book went on. On top of that, I found certain situations to be a bit...how do I say this? Farfetched I guess. Especially surrounding Cage. I can't explain any better than that without out giving examples and thus giving away spoilers. Suffice it to say that they bugged me enough to pull me out of the story.

One touch. One kiss. One look. They fell in love. But they were separated by a glass. The only way they can communicate is through eyes, signs and beats. Until.........she speaks again. Beauty and the Beast is my fav fairytale, so whenever I see a book stating that it’s based on/inspired by…etc, my interest is piqued. When it’s an author I already enjoy, well, I’m all in to see how they will take the tale and make it their own, and boy has this author made it her own and I gotta say that I really enjoyed it.

But this was just excessively inhumane and heartbreaking. I kept hoping that eventually it would turn around or improve in the slightest and it never did. There are some grammatical issues, of which I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested. These were mainly comprised of extra inserted words, missing words, typos and/or incorrect word choices. I mention these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow and visualization. Ella lost her voice due to a childhood trauma. Now, she finds herself trapped for unknown reasons along with a beast of a man who hungers for her touch. I liked this male character because he harbors an innocence that matches his upbringing away from many things we consider basic, but he's also dangerous in strength and purpose. This is a group for discussing books and authors of adult contemporary romances between a male and a female. He has no reason to question or fight the status quo accepting everything he’s told at face value until now that is.
