I feel the low-cut filter is best not used for vocal recording, as it noticeably affects the bottom end of the vocal range. The digital noise issue will be a concern if you have a G5 tower-based studio system, but it could be argued that anyone with such a deluxe computer should be looking for a more sophisticated mic anyway! It is a large-diaphragm condenser mic that is versatile. This mic was introduced in 2002, and it has been popular ever since. Its primary characteristics are evident in the highly competitive microphone industry and all the available options. Well, I’m partial to audio interfaces, and I use the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.
