They might only take 1/2 an hour to cook, but they're still complex, to me, and the end results look so very unappealing. I don't know what led me to believe that even a cheeseburger made by Gordon Ramsay would be good--it looks too froo-froo for me, no way I'd touch that! The pictures were pretty, but that's about all I can say in favor of this one. Heat a knob of butter in a frying pan over a medium heat, and sip the bread in the mixture. I loved watching Gordon Ramsay on TV during the first four or five seasons of Hell's Kitchen! But I've never gotten my hands on any of his cookbooks and really looked at his recipes. I always figured they'd be too fancy and complicated. I sadly found the photography to be less polished (and artistic) than I have grown accustomed to, but the recipes themselves more than make up for that (and at least the recipes each get a picture so you still get a good sense of the dish)! The recipes are written to serve 2 or 4. If you’re doubling a recipe, anticipate it will take longer.In a bowl, add your egg and then grate 40g (⅓ cup) of cheese over them. Then ass the creme fraiche and mix together. Add one teaspoon of cold water to the mixture to give it a more liquid consistency.

I received this cookbook last week and made three recipes out of it over the weekend. I feel like I’ve been cooking non-stop for the last six months and was eager to have some new options. There are several more recipes that my family is planning on making. The five stars are because we all (3 generations, five of us) found recipes we want to eat, and the three recipes I made turned out great. Here’s what you need to know: Once the pasta is finished cooking, add a couple of spoonfuls of pasta water to the bacon mixture. Season the pasta to taste and then add it to the pan containing the bacon and mushrooms. Move it around to make sure it is fully incorporated and then add the eggy mixture after around 30 seconds. There are lots of ingredients, some of which I haven’t heard of (I’m looking at you, preserved lemon!). I just googled substitutions and it was fine. I may seek out some of the specialty items just because I’m a curious foodie.
