About this deal

A chorus pedal repeats what you play at very close intervals, to create the illusion of multiple guitars playing at once. Using an unsecured network in a public place can be risky as unauthorised people may try to intercept anything you're doing online. Although we admit that carrying two amps to gigs is pretty impractical, we definitely recommend trying this out for yourself!

Equipboard may receive compensation for purchases made at participating retailers linked on this site. Four decades on, the spacious modulated tone of the signature BOSS effect is still loved by musicians everywhere. While it sounds great in mono (Output A alone), plugging Output B into a second amp increases the depth of the effect and vastly increases the breadth of your guitar tone. Although Japanese-made Boss pedals are much lusted after, the CH-1 was introduced after production moved to Taiwan. If you need your item delivered on a specific day, you can leave a comment in the box at the checkout and we'll take it from there. Compared to Boss’ more famous Chorus Ensemble pedals - with the CE-5 and CE-2w being the current models - the CH-1 has a completely different character. I don’t “crave” after gear that much, however, there are one or two pedals I have always wanted to at least try.

Boss pedals are renowned for quality and value and the CE-5 has been an industry favourite for over 20 years. This controls how fast the chorus goes, and the knob on the right is the depth control, this control how deep the chorus goes. In addition, we have a library of Owner’s Manuals and Support Documents that you can download and reference. Boss are so sure their compact pedals last the test of time, they cover them with a full five year warranty.I'm not the biggest fan of Boss pedals, but I do have a couple of favourites, and the CH-1 Chorus is definitely one of them. I don’t know if it is the Waza brand or the fact it is made in Japan, but the build quality is so good! These pedals constantly survive the rigours of rock 'n' roll touring, and that's why they're seen at the feet of top touring pros everywhere. Working great with both electric guitar, keyboards, synths and more, the CH-1 Chorus adds a new level of texture to your sound. The simple controls make it a breeze to use and simple to adjust on the fly, and you know with the Boss build quality that it will hold up to any kind of abuse!

The CH-1 features chorus effects with excellent clarity throughout the treble range; this type of chorus sound is very popular in contemporary music. The current range of Boss pedals retains the quality of the earlier Japanese Production, but at much more competitive pricing than Japanese production would allow.

That’s all well and good, but the CE-2 was discontinued in 1982, and although the CE-2w seeks to recreate that iconic sound, it’s far from the only option on the table. It has two 1/4" outputs to use either in mono or stereo and a buffered bypass which helps maintain signal integrity when using a long cable or in conjunction with other pedals with lots of patch cables.
