Metamorphosis at HOME Manchester (Incoming Festival) - HOMEmcr - Manchester

After a successful run at Tristan Bates' "A Piece of The Continent" Festival, Collide Theatre is honoured to have been selected to present Metamorphosis at the Incoming Festival which features "explosive new work from UK's most exciting theatre companies".About Metamorphosis:In the course of one night a beloved son turns into a hated freak. But is he really different? Is there a reason for his family to be so appalled? This is Gregor Samsa’s story. It is also the story of anyone who has been made to feel like vermin. Director Emily Louizou adapts Kafka’s classic novella into a dance-theatre piece about being young and being made to feel alien by the people closest to you. This is not a piece about a man turning into an insect, but a piece about a family ostracising their own child.★★★★ "Metamorphosis is a fantastic show, presenting a fresh and original take on Kafka that will please both the knowledgeable and the curious.” PlaysToSee ★★★★ "This staging of Metamorphosis is starkly original and works as a moving piece of story-telling. It’s certainly provocative, engaging theatre.” The PanopticAbout Collide Theatre: Collide Theatre is a London-based theatre company made up of emerging artists who are passionate about creating non-traditional and visually exciting theatre.
