With that said, I thought the writing style of the author was really good, and I found this book easy to read. This is not to say though that they are especially alike, or their circumstances particularly similar. Anita Shreve (author of the much-touted "The Pilot’s Wife") has done the near-impossible in "The Weight of Water.
