The Leoch FS series is a high-quality collection of motorcycle batteries from Leoch, one of the largest multi-range battery manufacturers in the world. In total, Leoch offers three motorcycle ranges – HP, MF & FS – that utilise the latest in dry charged, maintenance-free and factory sealed technologies respectively. With Leoch producing in excess of 5,000,000 motorcycle batteries a year for some of the world’s leading manufacturers, you can be sure it is a name to be trusted.Bike batteries may be smaller than those in your car, but they need to perform. Weproduce a wide range of batteries, including lithium-ion batteries, maintenance-free batteries and high-performance YuMicron batteries.

The only battery you’ll need to top up is a non-sealed (flooded) motorcycle battery. The acid itself doesn’t evaporate but the water-element of the acid mixture does, leaving a more concentrated solution. Top it up using distilled water (boil a kettle, let the water cool then use that). A motorcycle battery is a ‘live’ product, that is to say, once it has been commissioned, it is giving off energy, discharging. A by-product of this process is sulphation, so if you don’t keep your battery charged (either by riding the bike or using a battery charger), it will eventually get to a stage where the sulphation causes a short-circuit and you won’t be able to start your bike - or recover your battery. You could try a motorcycle battery charger with a reconditioning mode or just buy a new battery.JMT lithium-ion motorbike batteries use iron phosphate (LiFePO4) as the cathode material and use the lithium-polymer process in their manufacture. This means that they will not catch fire or explode in normal operation, which can happen with the cheap, low-quality lithium batteries which are less stable. It's better than lead-acid motorcycle batteries in almost every way: no sulfation, no activation, no acid, no maintenance, no water needed, and it comes fully charged and ready to install. Lithium batteries need to be maintained by a battery charger regularly, it is critical to select the right charging technology for lithium. We would only recommendusing a lithium specific or battery charger with a lithium mode.Vibration Isolation. Designed with a custom rubber dampening base and foam inserts to extend the life of the battery and keep connections secure. Your best bet is to go for a battery with a higher cranking amperage. If you have a large V-twin engine, definitely don't buy a cheap battery as it won't be able to handle many start cycles. It's a false economy. Either go for a high-cranking lead-acid battery, usually fitted to touring bikes or a Lithium battery which has around 50% more cranking power than standard lead-acid batteries. For me, the weight saving is brilliant but the main selling point is that, unlike a traditional lead-acid battery, they hold their charge for months and months. So even though they are slightly more expensive than a quality lead-acid battery, they will last far longer, probably twice or three times as long as a lead-acid.
