The spherical squigs you all know and love are cave squigs . These rotund and often-ruddy beasts are found in dank caverns and creepy hollows all across the realms, and range from pint-sized squiglets to massive monsters. Smaller varieties include the tiny squigs carrying Skragrott’s cloak , or the critters employed as ammo by the Looncourt’s squigapult. Further up the food chain you’ll find Giant Cave Squigs , ideal mounts for the most unhinged of Loonbosses. For the second time in this series, we’re going green. Last week, along with a handful of other factions, we took a look at how the Orruk Warclans are shaping up for the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, but today, it’s the turn of the Gloomspite Gitz.

As expected, Gloomspite Gitz get their own faction specific Endless Spells and they all reference the themes of the Bad Moon, mushrooms and now spiders with the inclusion of the Spiderfang. They are called the Malevolent Moon, Mork’s Mighty Mushroom, Spider Swarm and Scrapskuttle’s Arachnacauldron. The cauldron supports your wizards’ casting while doing damage to nearby enemy units. No more details at this stage, but you can expect the usual mix of damage dealing and support spells. The Loonking wants to cover all the Mortal Realms in the Clammy-Dank and he has already achieved this in one part of Chamon Again from Warhammer Weekly Tom’s detective work, we know that there are 10 battalions, what looks like 2 unique characters, and 7 “battleline-if” choices! Thanks a massive increase in battleline flexibility. The icon of the Bad Moon can return destroyed units of Stabbas and Shootas to the battlefield – imagine new units of reinforcements pouring out of the grotto to overwhelm the enemy.

Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig

The Loonboss is the moon-headed hero to lead (and presumbaly buff) your Grot Stabbas. Proudly standing on a boss-fungus. Symbol of the moon to embody the power of the Bad Moon god and show status. Bile Squigs comprise any breed of Squig that squirts, spray or vomit harmful fluids. They are a common ammunition for Squig Launchas and Heavy Squig Launchas used by Rukkatrukk Squigbuggies. Typically launched by the handful, these disgusting creatures squeal and thrash while madly jetting acids, lubricants, poisons and flammable bio-slop in every direction. The foe are drenched in disgusting -- and often harmful -- slime, leading to much hilarity amongst the Rukkatrukk crew as their victims slip, skid, scream in pain, burst into flames, dissolve or worse. The Juicy Squig is a very rare and delicious type of Eating Squig that may perhaps be the only known Ork delicacy. This Squig lives at the very bottom of an Ork fungal drop, and are not only rare, but difficult to find and bring up from the depths. Since these Squigs are seldom caught by the Gretchin and Snotlings, they often grow quite large and become even tastier as they get older.
