About this deal

For this to work, Adaptive Sync has to be disabled on the monitor, and the monitor has to be set to 'HDMI AV' mode. The Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75 is a newer version of the Samsung Odyssey G7 C32G75T, and both monitors are very different. The white point was also now improved to 6511k which was great news, although out of the box there had been minimal deviance there of only 2% being slightly too warm. Samsung have now released their new “Odyssey” line-up of screens, boasting high 240Hz refresh rates in a range of sizes and with some impressive additional specs.

The curved edges are meant to bring them within your field of vision so that the edges don't look too washed out when you're sitting directly in front of it. This allows us to measure the maximum and minimum adjustment ranges, as well as identify the recommended setting to reach a target of 120 cd/m 2 for comfortable day to day use in normal lighting conditions. Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page. The default ice blue or any color selection brings a personalized touch to your monitor and its surroundings. It results in a downscaled image, sharper than a native 1440p signal but not as detailed as a true 4k display. The Neo G8 also has better overall picture quality because it has Mini LED backlighting, allowing it to get brighter and deliver a better local dimming feature than the G7. The Gigabyte has much better viewing angles and a unique KVM feature that allows you to work with two sources with one set of keyboard and mouse. The Samsung uses a VA panel and is available in a 27-inch or 32-inch size, while the MSI uses an IPS panel and is only available in a 27-inch. If you like using a black frame insertion feature to improve motion clarity, only the ASUS allows you to use it simultaneously with VRR. We have divided the table up by panel technology as well to make it easier to compare similar models.

This lighting can be turned on/off in the OSD, and you can also set it to only show the back lighting and not the front if you want. The Samsung Odyssey G7 C32G75T and the Samsung Odyssey G6 S32BG65 are both 1440p monitors with a 240Hz refresh rate, supporting FreeSync natively. It's good if you want to watch content in a bright room or with friends, as it gets bright enough to fight glare and has wide viewing angles. It offers better value than other 4k options like the LG 32GQ950-B and the Sony INZONE M9, but it has worse picture quality than the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75 because it lacks Mini LED backlighting.

Despite being a gamer-orientated screen, it was good to see a focus from Samsung here on reliable and accurate setup, as opposed to some gaming screens which have a large gamma deviance and seemingly very little focus on accuracy. The screen behaves as it should in this regard, with a reduction in the luminance output of the screen controlled by the reduction in the OSD brightness setting. We can't replicate the same flicker some people have experienced in games (see Refresh Rate) without knowing the exact game and settings used that caused this flicker-like effect.

It also has wide viewing angles and fantastic ergonomics in case you often need to share your screen with a coworker or client. We also changed to Mode2 gamma which we know out of the box had delivered a slightly better gamma curve. It's also impressive for work use as it has a large 32-inch screen with a 4k resolution for sharp details, and it delivers accurate colors if you want to use it for photo editing. It isn't very bright in HDR, though, so bright highlights don't stand out the way the content creator intended.

Without local dimming, there's noticeable backlight bleed, and we took a high exposure photo to exaggerate what it looks like, but it isn't really what you see in person. There's also a sharp cut-off at the monitor's peak brightness, resulting in a loss of fine details in bright scenes.

Jump on enemies right when you see them with a 1ms response time, precise mouse movements, and blur-free frames with no ghosting. The Odyssey G7 delivers a much better gaming experience, with a much faster response time, lower input lag, especially at 60Hz, and an optional black frame insertion feature.
