The fact he represents the primary thing people as a whole pursue definitely helps with that. Mr. Rude has a French accent (alluding to the stereotype that the French are rude people) and, as his name suggests, is rude to everyone. He insults a man with a big nose and an overweight woman. To the overweight woman, he says "Fatty! You're supposed to eat the things in the fridge, not eat the fridge as well!" Mr. Rude is published as Monsieur Mal-Élevé in French, Don Grosero in Spanish, O Κύριος Αγενής in Greek, Senhor Rude in Portuguese, and 粗魯先生 in Mandarin.

Aesop Enforcer: He helps teach Little Miss Brave about resilience in ''Mr. Men, Little Miss: Try Again. Mr. Noisy is the 16th book in the Mr. Men series by Roger Hargreaves. Mr. Noisy is always loud. He lives on the top of a hill and must go to Wobbletown at the bottom of the hill to do errands. He shouts to Mrs. Crumb, the baker, "I'D LIKE A LOAF OF BREAD!" and he shouts to Mr. Bacon, the butcher, "I'D LIKE A PIECE OF MEAT!" Little Miss Bossy

In the book Mr. Bump Loses His Memory, he falls out of his bedroom window and bumps his head, promptly causing him to get amnesia. He is told by Mr. Muddle that his name is, in fact, Mr. Careful, thus encouraging our confused Mr. Bump to try several jobs for which great care is needed, such as carrying eggs and delivering milk in glass bottles. His memory is restored when he walks into a tree, causing him to fall into a river. Narrator, Mr. Happy, Mr. Nosey, Mr. Daydream, Mr. Forgetful, Mr. Jelly, Mr. Noisy, Mr. Mean, Mr. Dizzy, Mr. Tall, Mr. Wrong, Mr. Mischief, and Additional Voices Mundane Utility: He often uses his extraordinary long arms for everyday things such as making meals or answering the telephone. Sudden Name Change: Like Little Miss Greedy, his name was changed from Mr. Uppity to Mr. Snooty due to the word "uppity" having a racist history. They insisted they wanted his funeral to be a celebration of his life - the party they had never had the chance to give him.

One day he goes to school with a boy named William. He proves he can do anything in some amazing ways! Mr. Mischief loves to play mean pranks on other Mr. Men. For example, he bakes Mr Greedy a cake made out of toothpaste and mud! However, one day he gets a taste of his own medicine... Mr. Birthday is part of the Mr. Men series of books, by Roger Hargreaves. Him, along with Mr. Strong and Little Miss Sunshine getting mad with Mr. Grumpy for cutting through the queue at the dairy is a justified example due to the fact that the three of them had been under a spell cast by Little Miss Magic that made everyone act grumpy. Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Subverted in Mr. Mischief - A Spot Of Trouble. He gives Mr. Mischief the idea to infect everyone with measles by telling him that measles are catching but then Mr. Mischief chooses to try and infect Mr. Happy (Who had the measles once in Little Miss Helpful's book) only for Mr. Happy to turn out to have become immune to the measles, meaning no epidemic happened.

By 1976, Hargreaves had quit his day job. In 1981, the Little Miss series of books began to appear. It, too, was made into a television series in 1983, which was narrated by John Alderton, who, with Pauline Collins, voiced the Men and Misses, respectively. Although Hargreaves wrote many other children's stories, including the Timbuctoo series of twenty-five books, John Mouse, and the Roundy and Squary books, he is best known for his 46 Mr. Men books and 33 Little Miss books. Even though Mr. Brave is Published in 9th of May 1990, he was published in March 1992 on the original and new French covers alongside With Mr. Grumble, Mr. Perfect and Mr. Cheerful, all of which were also Published in 9th May, 1990.
