About this deal

Eco-Friendly Refrigerant: Uses new cleaner refrigerant that is more efficient and meets 2020 EU regulations. However, condense dehumidifiers have limitations under 8°C and 40%RH, which makes them less suited to more controlled environments. In laboratories, for example, an RH level lower than 30% is often required, and in freezer rooms and cold storage facilities, temperatures are usually around -18°C. In both these cases, an adsorption solution is much more efficient in terms of both cost and performance. Also known as refrigerant dehumidification, a condense unit draws moisture-laden air (humid air) into a dehumidifier and across a refrigerated coil. The air is rapidly cooled below its dew point, condensing the water vapour and recovering its latent heat energy for re-use. The cooled air is then passed across the condenser where it is reheated and returned to the room as warm air at the required lower humidity. Unless you just heat and ventilate with huge uncontrolled energy consumption, there are two choices when it comes to dehumidification in buildings and commercial spaces: adsorption and condensation. Either one can offer the ideal solution, but to determine the most suitable system for you will depend on how well you understand your environment and its requirements. Because Calorex develops condense and adsorption solutions, our sales team has no incentive to promote one methodology over another. This puts them in the best position to work with you to understand your business before recommending the most suitable unit.

Fundamentally, across a wide range of temperatures and humidity levels, a condense solution is perfectly suitable. It is often the most cost-efficient option, and can capably keep the humidity as low as 40% RH with no impact on performance or efficiency. Aerial dehumidifiers are designed for commercial and industrial applications. Their precise digital controls, high quality construction and range of advances features make them very capable drying units. They can operate in challenging conditions where other lesser quality units would struggle. Now you hopefully have a stronger understanding of the positive impact of commercial dehumidifiers and how to decide between a condense and adsorption solution, here we provide our recommended dehumidifiers in four specific circumstances. For construction and water damage restorationWhen searching for ‘dehumidifiers’ online, you might immediately be presented with smaller, domestic versions. While these may be perfectly suited to improve the air quality and remove moisture in rooms around the home, these will not fulfil the far greater demands of commercial applications. Could you use an electric heater to fulfil the same role? At Aerial, we go the extra mile to maintain our reputation as the drying experts. We ensure our customers can access all the technical data they require to choose the right size dehumidifier for their application and budget, while our well-trained team is always available to advise on the most suitable selection.

The Aerial AD 110 is a high-quality refrigerant dehumidifier, ideal for managing humidity in spaces prone to moisture problems that could damage materials and equipment. It’s a great option for car garages, industrial units, waterworks facilities, cellars, storage rooms, archiving rooms, museums, spas and more. Saturated air will condense on surfaces that are colder than the temperature of the atmosphere. In underground spaces, walls, cold pipes and metal fixtures are the most common places for water droplets to settle. However, this same system is able to air dry 4.5 litres (8 pints) of water vapour in a day, using a total of 5.16kWh, when temperatures are 10°C and the humidity level is 70%. This means that the efficiency of the dryer was 1.15kWh per litre of water removed – more than double the previous example with the only change being the temperature and humidity of the environment. Hot Gas Defrost: Automatically melts frost and ice build-up on the refrigerated coils for efficient and reliable operation even in cold conditions. The Aerial AD20 refrigerant dehumidifier features an automatic condensate pump, meaning that it pumps the collected moisture directly out of the unit via a hose (hose available separately). This makes it ideal for continuous drying applications, as there is no need to continuously empty a water tank. It can also be used in challenging spaces such as basements and cellars, as the pump is capable of lifting the water out of these areas, to a height of up to 4m. Compact & Portable Refrigerant Dehumidifier Excellent ease of useFor the best clothes drying dehumidifiers available, you don’t need to look any further than Aerial’s proven range, which has delivered excellent results for our customers across Europe. Our laundry dryers utilise Blue-Dry® technology for exceptional energy-saving, and are wall-mounted to save as much space in the room they are installed as possible. In summary, the right choice between these two options will be a balance of what is technically required against your available budget. Choosing the right commercial dehumidifier for your circumstances
