About this deal

If you’re using a full strip lash, measure it from corner to corner and trim if necessary. Apply your liner and then, looking downwards into a magnifying mirror, gently press the lash onto your lid. Using an eyelash holder or pair of tweezers will make it less fiddly. Are magnetic lashes safe and hygienic? Tip: Swirl your brush instead of pumping it; this will limit the amount of air in the tube and improve the longevity of your product. Magnets are usually heavy, but this magnet mascara is light as air. When applied, you can barely feel the lightweight formula, which is why lashes stay lifted all day long. You want your lashes to look long and lifted. Perhaps you can’t live without your eyelash curler, or you have monthly LVL treatments; this is the mascara you’ve been waiting for. This set comes with everything you need for lash application, so it’s great for beginners who have long been fans of Russian-style infills or extensions and want to recreate a similar look at home.

That you can create long lashes with just the right amount of volume in just a few swipes. It’s foolproof. As well as a pair of waterproof lashes, you’ll also get a liquid liner (with an ultra-fine tip for perfect precision), a pair of tweezer-style lash applicators, and a touch-up pen that removes smudges, which proved to be handy for our tester, who admitted they were not so well-versed in applying liquid liner. Things did get a little messy. That said, this liner was also one of the easiest to remove and came off well with a gentle cleansing oil. For full disclosure, I’m a big and bold lash type gyal. In fact, I like my lashes as dramatic as a good Hollywood movie, with a touch of reality of course. However, I hate faffing with falsies, so I spend a lot of time hunting for new mascaras that will give me maximum volume and curl with minimal effort. I’m a fan of Benefit mascaras and my expectations were very high, because if we’re talking ‘They’re Real!’ but better, I know we are about to hit iconic grounds. And I haven't even mentioned the other innovative thing about this mascara: the "wiper." Do you ever pull a mascara brush from its tube and think, "Holy shit, that's way too much," so you've got to wipe half of it off? For They're Real! Magnet Mascara, Benefit made the opening of its tube slightly smaller than necessary so that it scrapes away all the excess product from the brush as it's being pulled out.

Wave goodbye to finicky false lashes with the best magnetic lashes for making your eyes look magnificent

Wiggle the brush from the root of your lashes to the tips. Allow for a few seconds of drying time, and apply another coat if desired. While the brush's magnetic center is a standout feature (they're actually working to patent the technology in the EU and the U.S.), there are a few other design characteristics worth pointing out. The mascara's custom-engineered brush also boasts soft zig-zag bristles that allow it to comfortably glide through your lashes and lift them. The development team also spent time innovating the mascara's wiper. Customized to the brush, you're guaranteed to get the right amount of product on the brush every time you pull it out of the tube, without having to worry about mess, excess, or clumps. The size and the style you choose will depend on your unique eye shape and your preference. Magnetic lashes can come in a variety of different lengths ranging from short, medium, and long as well as styles like wispy, full, and dense. Certain styles or lengths can definitely accent specific eye shapes better than others. For example, a cat eye-styled lash or a longer lash can open hooded eyes up more while a shorter, wispy lash with a bit of a curl can be more accentuating for round eyes. It really comes down to personal preference, your lash goals, and what feels most comfortable for you, though. A kit with a variety of lash styles and lengths is the best way to go if you are not sure which style will work best for your eyes.

Unlike traditional falsies, magnetic lashes do not require glue for application. Instead, you line your lid with a magnetic liner, which has a similar look and feel to liquid eyeliner and attracts the magnets that line the band of each lash. They'll always ensure a secure hold of your falsies, and sometimes, they'll provide a high-pigmented eyeliner look, too. Those who prefer a more dramatic lash look should try these, although it can take a little time to get the right amount of eyeliner on. One coat later and I was pretty impressed. If I was going out of the house I would definitely go in with another coat or two, as the mascara definitely focuses on length over volume (thanks to the magnetic fibres which cling to the ends of your lashes as you pull the wand away).By the evening, there was a slight transfer on my eyelids, which I usually expect as my skin can be quite oily. However, the staying power was proved by the removal process, requiring a little more elbow grease and good faith to remove all traces.Eye Size and Shape: The size and shape of your eyes are important details to keep in mind when shopping for magnetic lashes. If you have big eyes, the Moxie Lash Magnetic Eyelashes might fit you best. Alternatively, if you have smaller eyes, the Ardell Magnetic Gel Liner and Lash Set wowed us an option for those with tinier eyes. Those with hooded eyelids, for example, should look for a lash strip that has longer lashes in the middle (like the Velour Lashes No Trim No Measure Magnetic Lash Kit), which can help open up your eyes. Great for anyone who has larger eyes, these lashes make an impact but still feel undetectable and look natural. Sure, a good pair of false lashes can transform your entire face. But if you're not a pro with lash glue, things can go downhill pretty fast. You could pile on coats of mascara or you can simply switch to magnetic lashes to get that same lift and fluff — without the mess, of course.

Its long name is fitting because length is exactly what you can expect from this magnetic mascara. But in true Benefit style, that’s not it. Scroll to find out exactly why we’re tipping this lengthening mascara to be the next big thing in our no holds barred review. The lashes are easy to remove though, and the eyeliner rubbed off well with an oil-based cleanser. These ones are reusable up to 15 times.

The product

A bit of patience is required during application since you’ll need to apply three coats of liner (allowing each coat to dry in between) to get them to stay put – but, that done, stay put they certainly do. I would, but I would need to pair it with primer because I found after around 6 hours of wear it smudged on me. But this happens a lot to me with mascaras because my eyelashes touch my brow bone frequently.
