About this deal
Soft, sturdy, and lightweight all at once, this bedside sleeper is great for both in-home naps or travelling away from home.
As well as the vibrate button, it also has a music function, which plays lullabies, white noise and nature sounds. The other thing is the height adjuster, as we have a low bed the lowest height is still higher than our bed. We’ve also been having Owen sleep in the HALO SleepSack Swaddle, which isn’t really part of the bassinet, but a huge help in getting him to sleep longer stretches. Now, the only way to honestly know how something will work for you is to use it for months, but my kids are way past the bassinet age, so I will have to rely on my experience. The vibration really helped sooth my little one to sleep and the ability to pull the Bassinest over onto the bed was really helpful post C-section, as getting up in the night is challenging at the start. It was new and exciting then, and I was very impressed with the idea when I wrote my post on the best bassinets for room sharing and breastfeeding. Although it is quite expensive, I believe people will pay anything if they know it will help them get a good night’s sleep! The rotating cribs is perfect for saving space and makes moving around the bedroom easier; it can also help you pick baby up at a convenient angle. A few weeks ago I shared a picture of Owen snoozing next to me in his bassinet and I got lots of questions about it, so I figured I’d share our experience with the HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper we’ve been using since we got home from the hospital!
This makes it so much easier for mums who are breastfeeding or recovering from a C-section to safely reach their little one without having to bend or strain in any way. Even though I don’t make use of all of the features (the push-down side, nursing timer and light), I can’t fault the ones that I do use. I know plenty of people have their babies sleep in their crib on day one, but being a first time mom, I had far too much anxiety about his first few nights at home to do that. The only downfall is that you can't move it from room to room easily because it is permanently attached to the bed. I liked that there was a built-in light for midnight nappy changing, without having to turn the 'big' light on.
I was hesitant to get Owen used to falling asleep to vibrations because I worry it will make his transition to the crib harder. I found the fact that the light goes out a little annoying as I often feed for longer than half an hour (hungry baby! I also love the looks of this and the much sleeker profile, which is important if space is an issue. Our Halo Bassinest swivel sleeper is perfectly designed to give you and your baby the safest sleep possible each night. I'm not convinced the breastfeeding timer is of much use and feel that another feature would have been more practical.
