You are not alone in suddenly becoming 'twitchers' we are very lucky to have such a wide variety of birds that come to the cottage.

The cottage was excellent , was homely and very cosy, all facilities were available , and bigger than expected with lovely conservatory to relax and watch the lovely garden and its various bird life , and a visit by the friendly chickens ,and a cosy living room also a library . Thank you so much, we enjoyed our stay at your lovely cottage so much, we are looking at coming back next year. Angela and Steve have thought of everything you could want and have made home rather than a holiday cottage.Easy walk to the beach (foreshore when the tide is in as it gets completely covered) and a very good Co-op.

Ascend the stairs to find three brilliantly decorated bedrooms, the first of which is an exquisite super-king-size room with smart, fitted storage and access to an en-suite bathroom, where you can relax after a day of excursions with a dip in the bath.

There are four large bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor, a family bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs. We don’t generally like having the owners on the doorstep and it didn’t mention this was the case until after we booked and got all the extra details, so were a little apprehensive as to how involved they would be. My only criticisms are that the upstairs shower was not very powerful and had my husband been able to join me for the weekend we may have found the bed a little small - mind you, we are both fatties!We found the owners to be very helpful and supportive, and this was reflected in the set up of the cottage. A charming semi-detached stone and slate cottage enjoying the most splendid views of the Barbon Fells and an attractive cottage garden. And the beach is only half a mile away from the front door when you fancy a traditional bucket and spade day out on the sand. A utility room on the ground floor also serves as a storage space for beach equipment and wetsuits, as well as containing a washing machine and tumble dryer; a cloakroom is also available nearby.
