I have absolutely no connection with Juniper, she is so one-dimensional and driven by "one thing and one thing only" and that is her anger which is her major motivation for revenge. I understand that she has been through a lot and she has had so much thrown upon her and while there are glimpses of those scars and the damage that was done; besides her being afraid and then being angry, there’s nothing really in between her personality. She also never really works through her anger much, besides through bloody stabby stab-stab and "spank me harder" Daddy, often both at the same time. I am not here to judge a girl on her therapy being "painful pleasure" but I wanted more of an emotional working through her damage. Hence why I AM THE PROBLEM, as this would be amazing if you are happy to read about a girl who just wants that hard physical pounding that almost miraculously solves her trauma because she had a couple of intense demonic-induced orgasms

As much as this book is one of my most anticipated books of the year for me, I was worried about it being around the same timeline, details would be left out or changed. Rest assured, I should have known better with the author. She went into such great detail and didn’t change a thing.The story is good... It goes along the timeline of HSTT and it shows lots of repetitive scenes from Zane and Juni's POV. I loved how the author build up Leon's personality, and how he was such a grumpy protector of Rae, and girllllll... Rae was a full plate to be carried! I'm kinda of obsessed with all demons in this book, they're truly way better than the humans here... we also need a minute of appreciation of harley’s writing style. even tho it’s the dark romance, leon still gave the safe word to rae(h), just like manson did give it to jessica in “the dare”. it’s rare that a dark romance doesn’t have non-con sex scenes and lately i became very disturbed by it. i can’t hep but think about how the mmc doesn’t respect his woman enough to stop when he was told to. i’m glad that harley writes only consensual ones(in the books i read so far). her heroes respects the heroines’ choice and it’s so hot and precious💓💝💘💞💗💕.

Not only does he absolutely ADORE her soft side but also her raging, revengeful side!! Like bro got turned on upon seeing her kill someone!! How ICONIC!! But I get him, reading about how she killed Kent was so freaking badass, if I was him I would’ve dropped on my knees for her (which he actually did lmao)!! Erm how cute are Everly and Callum I need their book come on a witch and an arch-demon POWER COUPLE. The way callum was already possessive and protective over Everly tells me I’m going to LOVE THEIR BOOK but the growling erm … he’s a demon so maybe that’s why he’s doing that 😭💀
