For the most part I enjoyed this volume. I liked the twist in the middle where some of the heroes and townsfolk turn on One Punch Man a little when they think he destroyed their town. "You're bald!!" is an interested insult coming from OPM.

The S-class superheroes and Saitama are gathered at City A where it is revealed that Madame Shibabawa has died but has predicted that their world would face a great danger. A gigantic alien spacecraft arrives, destroying most of City A except for the headquarters. As heroes Atomic Samurai, Bang, Puri-Puri Prisoner, and Metal Bat try to fight Melzargard, a shape-shifting alien with five heads, the others try to figure out how to get to the spaceship, while Saitama has already punched his way in, defeating Groribas. Melzargard continues to regenerate and pose a problem to the heroes until they find his weakness is that he hides a marble essence in each of his heads. Saitama faces Lord Boros, the leader of the Dark Matter Thieves. Saitama is now a certified hero! And with that title comes great responsibility--he's required to perform one heroic deed per week. While Saitama makes the rounds to meet his quota, an incoming threat from outer space is screeching toward Earth... Personalmente, me ha dado mucha rabia la reacción de los ciudadanos, porque me esperaba que viesen con buenos ojos a Saitama.I enjoy the slight darker and intricate path this series is taking in this volume. Each character is crazier than the other. Note: The chapter "Escalation" was split in two. The first half retaining the title "Escalation" and the second half being called "Power" Goketsu shares his story of how he was a former champion and was defeated by a monster and captured. He was then offered monster powers and became what he is today. He offers the fighters that same opportunity, and half a dozen of the contestants take him up on that offer, ingesting the cells and becoming monsters and fighting Suiryu. Snek and Max try to help Suiryu but they are no match against the newly-powered monsters. Suiryu is beaten down and realizes he needs a hero after all, and cries for help. Saitama answers the call and defeats both monsters.

Por otra parte, en los otros dos capítulos del tomo se presenta una nueva amenaza que nos da pie a conocer a nuevos héroes, además de que volvemos a ver a Sonic, ese personaje que por mucho que quiera cobrar su venganza contra Saitama siempre le sale mal.Bonus 2: Bang invites Saitama and Genos for hot pot but a gang tries to challenge the dojo and loses. The losing gang encounter Garo afterwards.

Saitama rising up from his level didn't even give him any excitement. Well, knowing he is so strong, he should even expect for more. But I just love him so much!! Bonus: Saitama reads a manga and wants monsters to be like that strong and encounters a monster exactly looking like manga but killed by one punch.

And the artwork? Still unbelievably clean and detailed. Love how much attention is put into the violence and destruction. I can only imagine what the later volumes will have to offer. Bonus 3: The Blizzard Bunch challenge Saitama and his friends to a match involving fighting video games. Child Emperor develops a mask that assesses the power levels of heroes and monsters, but it is still a work in progress. Yeah, sure, he actually SAVED everyone's lives, but the damage to all that property... HE's A PROPER villain, now. :) Jerks. Nothing about Saitama passes the eyeball test when it comes to superheroes, from his lifeless expression to his bald head to his unimpressive physique. However, this average-looking guy has a not-so-average problem--he just can't seem to find an opponent strong enough to take on!

The elite members of the studio continue to aim for new heights and polish their skills every day. If one looks like he's asleep, that's just your imagination.
