I think I'll need to use a blowdryer on my wrists to fast-forward through the initial chemical stage, so that I can reach the powdery, floral dry down sooner. Comfortable and reassuring musky fragrance that has its own distinct connotation, absolutely different from all other musky fragrances. I don't know if the formula changed, or my chemistry/tastes did, but this no longer smells even remotely how I remember: before it was a warmer scent, heavier on the tonka and jasmine (still two of my favorite notes) and less on the hairspray and plastic. Harking back to the late 60s this subtle fragrance blends 100s of quality ingredients to form a subtle musk aroma that in concept set out to replace the sophisticated tradition of western perfumery with something uncomplicated but uncompromising, heavily inspired by eastern flavours. For the first few minutes I can detect a slight pee and hairspray odour , then it softens, pee note disappears, yet hairspray stays.

My Musk became famous for its first version, which was the intense and ultra-sensorial version of the oil, but it is now possible to find the same heady perfume in other forms such as body creams, shower gel, cologne spray, deodorant and obviously in the eau de parfum and eau de toilette line. We regret that we cannot redispatch/refund sooner than the timescales listed above as these are the terms set out by the couriers.

It`s a disappointment because I expected `in your face` good quality musk, and this one just won`t do.

I never liked this and I still don't, I wrote a negative review before about this smelling like plastic+hairspray+fecal edge. The opening is the first sip - sweet, addictive, with bubbles in your face, and the rest is a top up to go with the rest of the day. Now deemed a classic, the success of the Musk brand is reflected in the extensive range still available today. Impressive longevity for an EDT of 8 good hours, unsure if there is any trail, but I am usually happy to wear a skin scent that only I can feel during the office hours.It is almost impossible to talk about Musk without thinking of Alyssa Ashley, my name is in fact inextricably linked to hers. I loved Alyssa Ashley's Musk so much that I recently bought another bottle to transport me back to those days but it has changed, and not for the better. My only tiny complaint is that the sillage is extraordinarily poor, and my perfume-eating-skin turns this into a skin scent almost instantly.So well blended that you can't pick out any one note, besides the musk, which melts into my skin and disappeared.

I never understood why folks will put down a fragrance for smelling soapy, or like shampoo, after all, those soaps and shampoo's are using the same essential oils to fragrance their products as perfumers are to theirs. Possibly that makes it a more realistic Musk scent as its Animalic for sure, but it shares the lovely, slightly floral, almost golden syrup sweetness that Jovan Musk for women has. Compared with Jovan (which I also got) I would say that this is slightly less woody, a bit more green and a bit sweeter.Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision. It's very soapy, if you've ever used Johnson's Baby Soap (the bar kind that comes in a pink box) you might recognize this as to me it's nearly identical. I usually see Autumn to be the right season for it but I think it can be suitable for Summer nights as well.
