About this deal

The information on housing, people, culture, employment and education that is displayed about Winter Street, Sheffield, S3 7EL is based on the last census performed in the UK in 2021.

Winter Street takes place between the 23rd and 25th of December and it was a delightful listen thanks to Erin Bennett who did a lovely job with the narration. While I became caught up in all of the many threads, I would have liked more depth to the characters. This is not a warm fuzzy holiday listen, nor is it dark it is simply a glimpse into one family’s not so perfect holiday. Because the tale ends soon after Christmas dinner, there were unanswered questions. At first, I thought I was missing part of the audio. However, I have learned that these characters and their story will appear again. It is my hope we see each character further developed. For Scotland, 2011 data is shown (update coming soon, the Scottish census was delayed by a year unlike the rest of the UK). I loved WINTER STREET. Elin Hilderbrand has woven together a juicy cast of characters with lots of drama for this Christmas-themed family treat. ❄🎄 The tale that unfolds in Winter Street is not your typical holiday story, but takes us into the lives of this close-knit family as Hilderbrand shares a not so perfect Christmas. Delivered from each of the Quinn’s perspective we follow each of the stories as we move through the holiday, discover truths, and band together. Quirky, heart-felt, and genuine I enjoyed learning about this family.Records of Sheffield No 3 Hospital Management Committee, 1948-1974 (NHS37: formerly SY298/H1-9, SY641/H1-8) Style Notes: If there's one thing that's going to make all of your outfits feel on-trend for the season ahead, it's earrings. There, I said it. Of all the looks in all the collections, a commonality they all shared was jumbo stud earrings. Bottega Veneta's giant-sized teardrops have already begun decorating the lobes of those in the know, while Rokh's gargantuan pearls are almost too beautiful for words. Sky and Daz were destined to be together and (as is the case with most of these stories) you know where they will end up. They certainly kept us on our toes throughout which made for a more entertaining read. This book was about more than their romance though, it was about a community coming together, families reuniting and accepting their new relationships. I found that lump in my throat forming on quite a few occasions but I also laughed and smiled too. Middledip is a beautiful village captured in the imagination of Sue Moorcroft, and has featured in a few of her wonderful books. It’s also the perfect setting for Christmas and snow, and A White Christmas on Winter Street will give you full on Christmassy vibes throughout. Although the location is a familiar one, this book works perfectly as a standalone. That coupled with a sprinkle of festive vibes, a Christmas light street competition and a found family Christmas, it’s perfect for that Xmas literary hit in December.

apos;Record of Municipal Affairs in Sheffield 1843 to 1893& apos;, by JM Furness, 1893 (Sheffield Archives LOCAL FUR) I have finally read my first Elin Hilderbrand novel! And what a better way to start than with Winter Street, the first book of the Winter series. I've had this series on my shelf for a while and since it is December, I thought it would be the perfect time to get to them. Winter Street has a dash of romance, some holiday cheer, and a whole lot of family drama. It ended up being a lot more emotional than I had expected it to be, and this definitely goes above and beyond a Hallmark movie. Sheffield Public Health Department: minutes of committees and subcommittees, papers and plans relating to extensions to Lodge Moor Hospital, proposed smallpox hospital on Crimicar Lane, and Dart Square isolation houses near Winter Street Hospital, 1887-1958 (CA39/1-128) This is done to preserve the anonymity of the people in that area, as some postcodes cover a very small area, sometimes a single building. This book is just magical and really fuels my desire to get outside in the snow, I know it’s not likely to happen any time soon but when it does I’ll be donning my wellies and keeping my eyes peeled for the snow stories like Sky. Nature plays a massive part of this book and it’s prompted me to refill my little bird feeder set up – I’ve also been rather tempted to make some shaped fat balls as they sound incredible, rather festive and pretty simple – even if very messy!

Customer reviews

I loved Sky as a character. She had a troubled history but had made a fantastic life for herself through hard work and determination. She also had a great sense of fun combined with an acute awareness of social and ecological responsibility which underpinned everything she did. Young Wilf was a joy and as for Daz I really felt for him as his loyalties were torn and he was rather put in a no-win situation.
