About this deal

It's compatible with almost every OS and platform, including Windows 7/8 or later, Mac OS X or later, Chrome OS, Apple devices running iOS 5 or later, and Android devices running Android 3.2 or later. Unfortunately, Windows Phone doesn't get compatibility here, which is somewhat surprising, considering it's compatible with Windows PCs. Like the K780, the K480 has a groove that runs across the top (Logitech calls it a “smart device stand”) for holding your tablet or smartphone upright as you type. Since the K780 is significantly wider (15 inches vs. 11.8 inches) than the K480, it can hold larger devices, or two relatively large devices, at once, whereas the K480 is capable of holding most tablets, say, up to 10.1 inches in landscape orientation, or a smaller tablet (perhaps the iPad Minior Google Nexus 9) and a smartphone in portrait orientation. The underside is encased in an off-white plastic. Embedded in the plastic are small rubber pads that act as feet, and they provide a slight incline for comfortable typing, though there’s no way to adjust it. Also on the bottom is an on/off toggle and a compartment that holds two (included) AAA batteries, that Logitech says will last up to two years, or for 2 million keystrokes. Unfortunately, it’s not rechargeable, but if the keyboard truly gets two years’ life out of a set of batteries, that’s really a moot point. Pairing and using multiple devices

Since 1982, PCMag has tested and rated thousands of products to help you make better buying decisions. See how we test. Easy-Switch Dial: Simply turn the dial of the Logitech K480 keyboard to switch typing between 3 connected Bluetooth wireless devices, you can work with Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, Android, and iPadOS Reliable Power: This portable, wireless Bluetooth keyboard comes with 2 pre-installed AAA batteries which can last up to 24 months (2) and is compatible with wired, wireless or Bluetooth mice. Battery indicator light Logitech makes quality keyboards in comparison to many keyboards I’ve owned. And believe me, I have had quite a few of them, most of them clunkers. I had a superb Logitech that I unfortunately and regretfully gave to a friend when I received a more expensive, but not better I later found, keyboard from another company. I miss that Logitech so much! The base is heavy enough it shouldn't tip over with whatever you stand up in it. I'd prefer if the holder was a bit wider (my phone doesn't fit well with its case on and I don't find the angle for the tablet to be ideal), but it's not terrible. I would have liked to have a touchpad or numpad but for this purpose I didn't really require them.Comes with the keyboard, 2 batteries included. There is not an instruction pamphlet but you won’t need it. If you look at two of my photos, there is a strip across at the top that shows you how to work/pair it—you can remove this strip once you do this.

Type on Any Device: A new type of wireless computer keyboard for your desk that also works with your tablet and smartphone; connect with any Bluetooth-enabled device with external keyboard support. Wireless range: > 10m wireless range If I had any ‘negatives,’ it would be: The on/off button is on the bottom of the keyboard. Not a huge deal and not a deal-breaker, but if it were on the side, it would be more easily accessed without having to remove your device first, turn it over, and turn it on/off. As I stated above, I wish it were rechargeable, but I will use rechargeable batteries. However, it not being rechargeable perhaps is why it was more affordable. I got this on sale and was satisfied enough with it I decided to keep it (in my bathroom for the "toilet" tablet + my phone + work phone that comes with me). Then follow the pairing procedure for the computing device, which in most cases entails typing a code that displays on the screen. Once you have paired two or more devices, you switch between them by setting the selection wheel to the appropriate number. It all works quite well, swiftly and seamlessly, but we should point out that for some reason the K480 will not work with Windows Phone. The K480 uses two AAA batteries, which are included with the keyboard, and Logitech claims they'lllast up to two years. Logitech guarantees the K480 against failure under normal use for 1 year, which is about average for a product like this. The company says it was designed and tested to last for at least 2 million keystrokes. Our Take I like the slot where you can put your tablet/smartphone and have easy access to them. Though if you put your older iPad vertically, the home button can be a little low. Save for keys that are almost circular, and the large section above the keys where you place your mobile devices into the rubberized groove stand, the K480 looks like any regular keyboard. Just above the Esc key is a dial that lets you select the devices you've connected to the K480 via Bluetooth. They're labeled as 1, 2, or 3, which may take some getting used to until you learn by heart which number is associated to which device. But that took all of two minutes for me. Durable and Spill-resistant: The wireless and compact keyboard K480 is also spill-resistant (1) to survive small accidents; it’s a reliable and durable partner for your desk at home, or at work
