Copper Transformer Scraps consists of copper windings surrounding a steel core. The copper windings may also be covered by an outer case. Blasters: Scraphook includes two "Phaser" blasters. These are really bits of the vehicle mode that feature cylindrical storage tanks with a flat piece in front acting as the weapon barrel. Each has a 5mm peg on the bottom. These pieces are also dark silver with some orange paint on the weapon barrel.

There are transformers that are aluminum-wound also. However, the conductivity and durability features make copper a better alternative than aluminum. Power distribution utilities make use of large number of copper transformers at substations. Copper is the preferred choice for medium-to-large transformers. Other touches also hint at the post-apocalyptic "biker gang" vibe of the Junkions including claws on his shoulders, grille like designs on his chest and spikes on his lower legs. Even his feet look dangerous with cow catcher like details on them. If you include his accessories such as the spoilers (which look more like exhaust pipes to me) and his spiked wheel shield he really gives off the Junkion vibe beautifully. I really dig this sculpt! For the purposes of reducing headaches, we're assuming that the excavator is the "correct" vehicle mode, and that it just happens to transform into a robot mode that resembles Scrapper… even though it's not him. The Studio Series toy would subsequently give Scrapmetal an excavator alternate mode. Usually just used to draw a comparison to actual junk metal, the word would occasionally be used as a soundalike-synonym for "crap" in publications that could get away with it ("None of that scrap on my team!" declares Barricade in Micromasters #2). By Transformers: Prime, "scrap" had evolved into the catch-all Transformer swear word, replacing the former " slag" due to international concerns (that is to say, "slag" actually is a rude word in the United Kingdom). As such, it is open to use in all the various colourful ways that "slag" was, most often as an isolated exclamation of frustration.
