The high end was energetic, full of life and vibrant without being bothering, the mid frequencies were nicely balanced and smoothly controlled while the bass never failed to impress us with its powerful output and shattering energy without loosing in detail.

Once received and setting it up, the RZ50 sounded fantastic. It comes with Dirac Live built in which is a bonus and I have to say Dirac is the real deal. You can also customise the house curve and once I added the Harman curve it really sounds good and there is a strong sound presence. Any extended warranties offered by Peter Tyson are free. If I have one complaint about the RZ50, it would be that it could utilize more finesse. Personally, I enjoy its in-your-face sound, but when you compare it to the Marantz SR5015, the 5015’s sound is a little more nuanced.
