The Bungo Stray Dogs: Beast light novel shipped in Japan in April 2019. Shiwasu Hoshikawa launched a manga adaptation on December 26, 2019. A live-action film, Beast was confirmed in March 2020 to be in development. It is based on a light novel of the same name by Kafka Asagiri, who also acted as writer, while Koichi Sakamoto directed the movie. [2] Actors Yūki Torigoe (Atsushi Nakajima) and Shohei Hashimoto (Ryunosuke Akutagawa) reprised their roles from the original plays, while almost all of the cast remains the same. As the clash draws to its conclusion, through a transceiver, Kunikida formally passes Akutagawa to the Agency. At a rooftop, Akutagawa spares Atsushi's life. Dazai arrives, fires Atsushi, and asks him to live in the outside world with Kyōka. Dazai then tells them of a certain Book that allows whatever written in it to become reality and is home to infinite worlds, including their current world. He ultimately reveals that he had planned for them to face and understand each other. As part of his fifth and final stage, Dazai steps off the ledge and commits suicide. Where do I begin? The novel is so well adapted to the big screen, the writing, the characters, sets, costumes… all of it it’s just wonderful and loyal to the original series. The BSD world has come to life with this film and I love it! The acting and fight scenes were on point, and I enjoyed the cinematography, although the tight budget for the visual effects was pretty obvious. However, they still managed to do a decent job. I know isn't cheap to make a movie where almost all your characters have supernatural powers, so I have to give them extra points for the effort! Sakunosuke Oda survives the war against Mimic, as he was not present during its main events, and works in the Armed Detective Agency, acting somewhat as a mentor for Akutagawa after finding him starving to death by a riverbank. The orphans from the Dragon's Head Conflict also live with him, along with ten other children. Alive and well, he is in the process of publishing his first book.
