This year Luton St Patrick’s Festival Parade is on Sunday, 15th March at the later time of 12pm. Who can watch?Everyone!! The best viewing point is outside the Town Hall!Who and what can join?Basically everyone and everything!!** If you are a group, club, marching band or dance troop. Please request a parade entry form via activities@lutonirishforum.org or phone 01582 720 447. ** If you fancy entering a float (something involving a truck). Please request a parade entry form via activities@lutonirishforum.org or phone 01582 720 447. ** If you want to enter the best character competition. please request more information via our Facebook or email activities@lutonirishforum.org or phone 01582 720 447. ** If you are little and in a push chair, join the LIF Baby & Toddler Group on the day and get a free sticker and flag. Turn up by 11:40am at the LIF car park. Position number will be announced nearer the day.** If you want to proudly walk with your county flag please dress up and join your flag on the day. Turn up from 11:00am at the LIF car park. Position numbers will be announced nearer the day.Set up info!The walking parade will meet in Luton Irish Forum's car park (102 Hitchin, Rd, LU2 0ES) from 11am. Floats will gather on Concorde Street (Across the road from Luton Irish Forum's carpark) from 11am.Departure info!The walking parade will lead and floats will join the rear of the walking parade at the Hitchin Road/Brunswick Street Roundabout (At the Luton Irish forum's carpark entrance).Then proceed down Hitchin Road towards the town centre, turning right into Station Road at the bridge. Upon reaching Mill Street, the parade will turn left onto Guildford Street and right into Bridge Street (past the Galaxy Centre).At the end of Bridge Street, the parade will turn left onto New Bedford Road and will continue onto Manchester Street (towards the Town Hall). Thats basically a victory lap of the Town Hall!Into Upper George Street where the floats will leave the parade.The walking parade will continue along Upper George Street finishing at the back of the Market Hill stage (outside the Crown pub). The walk will take approximately 45 minutes. Stewards will walk with the parade and be available throughout.Once again a prize will be given for the Best Individual and Group parade entry sponsored again this year by London Luton Airport Limited. Announcements will also be made on social media.
