Paints and coatings applied to a hydrate 80 treated surface demonstrate amazing improvements in long-term performance. It's plated with a thick layer of some slightly soft metal that didn't seem to like the Deox C it had a long bath in, but as it's hidden by the lid, I'm not sure if I'm going to paint it.
