About this deal

Your character already exists inside you but isn’t shaped in any particular way. Throughout your life, God will put new challenges in your way that will help you put the pieces of your character together—ultimately, his goal is that you’ll arrive in heaven with a character as close to Jesus’s as possible. The Choice to Grow Spiritually I am starting this book today. I am also going to do what it suggests - only read one chapter a day for 40 days. So that means, I will finish this book in a little over a month. Alex Murashko, 10th Anniversary Edition of 'The Purpose Driven Life' Redesigned for Millennials, christianpost.com, US, June 14, 2012 Everyone wants to know their purpose- why am I here on earth? What is my purpose? These are questions that plague me sometimes when I feel so purposeless. I love how easy this book is to read, how we are given various call to actions and questions to ponder on. The book is broken down into 40 key chapters; Warren recommends that you read 1 chapter a day, reflect on the ideas and personalize the application in your life. By the end of the 40 days, you’ll know why you exist on earth and can live with clarity and purpose. In this free The Purpose Driven Life summary, you’ll learn about God’s 5 key purposes for you and the 40 day spiritual journey in the book. Discovering Your Purpose On Earth UNDERSTAND WHY YOU EXIST

Donadio, Rachel (2004-11-28). "Faith-Based Publishing". The New York Times. ISSN 0362-4331 . Retrieved 2016-02-11. For Days 1-7, Warren focuses on insights and reflections to (i) put God at the center of your life, (ii) rethink the current driving forces in your life, (iii) consider how your deeds on Earth are preparing you for eternal life, (iv) review what the Bible tells us about Life as a test, a trust and a temporary assignment (and what it means for your life on Earth), and (v) understand why/how the 5 purposes below are part of your existence to bring glory to God. self-centeredness,'which is my problem, my issues, my pain.' But one of the easiest ways to get rid of pain is to get our focus off yourself and ontoGod and others.

What are the most important lessons God has given you to share with others in your mission? (For example, you spent much of your adult life as an unbeliever. As a result, you can clearly articulate how life before finding God differs from life after finding God.) What do you think is the main motivator driving your life? (For example, “I think that I’m driven by approval-seeking and pressure to be the best at work—I always feel that I should be doing more somehow, to stand out or get recognition.”) Your third purpose is to become more like Jesus Christ—not to be a god, but to become godly through your actions and character. Humans are the only beings made in God’s image: we have immortal spirits, the intellectual ability to reason, the capacity to love, and the ability to know right from wrong. Your time on earth is meant to shape you and prepare you for eternity in Heaven. This involves more than prayer and Bible study; you must also practice Christ-like thinking/acting and develop new godly habits. You become more like God and Jesus when you take on their same values and character in your own life. This doesn’t mean you’ll give up who you are to be just like Jesus—after all, God gave you a unique personality that he wants you to use. Rather than changing your personality, you’ll be changing your character to become more Christlike through character development.

Being specific with your praises, instead of generalizing your thanks. For example, “I thank you for the interesting conversation I had with my neighbor today.” A servant’s heart is made up of who you are and how you feel—a combination of character and attitude that lend themselves to serving others. The Five Characteristics of a Servant’s Heart A dear friend mentioned that the youngest child of Warren committed suicide this year, April 5, 2013 after struggling with mental illness that caused severe depression. In my life, I've seen several similar cases like this: a successful parent losing a child possibly because the celebrity parent got too focused with fame and in the process neglected his o her own family. But I do not know Warren's complete story so I'd rather keep my comments to myself. How do you think living a purpose driven life will help you feel meaning? (For example, “Instead of needing to feel good at everything or please everyone, I can finally focus in one direction—pleasing God and doing what I’m made to do. I’ll stop feeling tense about unimportant things I ‘should’ do.”) In a way, I'm lying by saying I "finished reading" this. Truthfully, I was enjoying this novel and it's meaningful messages. However, silly me set it down God knows where (I mean this literally because I have no idea where it is) and it's been over a week of looking and I still can't find it. So I thought I'd write a review of how it was going up until I went and freakin' lost the book. Yay me.You’ll want to notice and shut down your envy as soon as possible because it’s destructive and distracting in four ways. Before thinking about ways that you might worship God, ensure that the acts you engage in are true worship. True worship has four elements:
