Loved the appearances from other previous main characters in the series as well. It's one of my favorite things in interconnected standalone series... cameos!!!) One of the cutest things is when Gianni lies to Ellie about their car not being able to start which meant they had to stay another night 🤪 Gianni did this because he secretly loved spending time with Ellie and didn’t want their getaway to end. This, in turn, causes them to have sex despite Ellie blatantly refusing to have anymore with him 🥰 And let me tell you about the tension. The TENSION. How did MH avoid a slow burn but still build up the pay off like she did?? I was gasping up every time they even hugged or brushed elbows haha So what happens when they decide they need some practice - practice kissing, practice EVERYTHING... and feelings get involved.He's a sexy nerdy billionaire with a big heart, golden retriever personality, shy but not in the bedroom, protective, mature... I could go on and on. This is the kind of guy you add to your favorite book boyfriends list in the notes app LOL But just when I think I’ve got Gianni Lupo all figured out, he gives me a taste of the man he could be, of the family we could become, of the way he could love me if I let him.

Felicity’s and Hutton’s (both 28) high school reunion is coming up. Felicity wants to go and asks her best friend if he’s planning to go- he’s not. You see, Hutton suffers from social anxiety, even family gatherings can be too much for him 😬. So Felicity completely understands. this was a solid four stars, but that ending made me bump it up a little bcos i was squealing with how damn cute this was!! seriously had the best time reading this— the perfect low-angst read that’ll give you all the feels.Loved how the third act breakup was resolved, as Hutton definitely had some groveling to do. I can’t wait to try the next book in this series!
