About this deal

Delivery is Mainland UK and excludes The Highlands and Isle of Wight, Isle of man and Channel Islands. Using obelisk to support and feature climbing roses is a staple of any garden. Choose a type of rose that can climb and spread widely to make the most of the structure support for your plant to establish well. A Rose obelisk is a classic English garden’s favourite because of their smell, wide colour range and their ability to flower year after year without heavy maintenance. Classic Obelisks or Elegance Obelisks The origin of the word gazebo is unknown, possibly a combination of 'gaze', with a latin derived ending. Pavilions, belvederes, follies, pergolas and rotundas all fit within the general umbrella term of gazebo, which is essentially astructure, usually round or octagonal with open views of the surroundings. Gazebos were popular in the 19th Century and were constructed in many styles and in varied materials, from Chinese influenced latticework and copper roofs, to rustic intertwined wood branch construction. Many of the more important Victorian iron foundries produced a range of ornate cast iron 'bandstand' style gazebos, which can still be seen in manypublic parks. Original complete gazebos are rare to find, but we usually have a range of quality reproduction gazebosin timber and metal. Some clients prefer to build their own take on a garden room, using reclaimed components sourced from us.

Concrete anchoring: In your chosen spot, dig a hole at least two feet deep, fill it with concrete and place your obelisk’s base into it while wet. This will provide a sturdy structure. Crafted from solid steel for ultimate strength and rust prevention, our coloured finishes feature a tough UV stabilised coating which is both stylish and high quality

The Elegance Garden Obelisk has a simple structure with decorative spiral finial which works as a feature in its own right as well as providing a versatile support for any small climber. Once you have chosen your garden obelisk, it’s essential to secure it properly before growing your climbing plants. Below are various steps to follow to ensure it stands tall and stable: If a collection needs to be arranged, this will be made for a weekday only, between standard working hours. If you are not able to be at home when the collection is to be made, we can arrange for goods to be collected from a safe location at your request.

Metal anchoring: Screw metal ground anchors, such as spiral or auger-type stakes, into the ground firmly at the base of the obelisk. Fasten securely, making sure they are deep enough to ensure the plant’s stability. Lattice or trellis: Attach lattice or trellis to the sides of your obelisk to provide additional support to your climbing plants. Rustic finish arrives pre-aged to give an authentic rust effect that blends beautifully into your garden. The finish is like any natural rusted metal and care should be taken initially as the rust may transfer onto clothes and furnishings.
