About this deal

It is important for all LARP weapons to be regularly maintained. If a weapon has a damaged core, it is best to throw it away. The foam and latex layers can be repaired. We sell foam repair glue specifically developed for repairing LARP weapons. The weapons have a latex outer layer which can dry out. It is therefore important to regularly apply silicone spray on your LARP weapons. We recommend Epic Armoury silicone spray.

Mr Wade added: ‘We are finding that this is the perfect era for items that are going up in value, because there are lots of people who were teenagers when these 1980s films were coming out who are older now and have a bit more disposable income.’ I cut out little boat shapes from EVA foam that would be glued in to close off the top and bottom of the axe. Remember that the bottom will be somewhat shorter as you need to be able to get the pvc pipe handle through to the coupling. (pic 6) The prop axe is housed in a display case and comes with an authenticated signed photo of Nicholson, and a plaque. Daniel Wade, of Just Collecting, said: ‘We acquired the axe from a chain of bars in Belfast around two years ago which had lots of movie memorabilia on the walls, and we have had it verified.I glued the blade part of the axe together so it formed the shape of a "slice of cake" from the top view (pic 5).

It was one of a number of prop axes used on set – it’s definitely up there in terms of iconic movie props.’ The 1980 movie, which is based on a Stephen King novel, is widely regarded as one of the best horror films of all time.Stop boil overs in the kettle and limit foaming in your fermenter with CellarScience Foam Axe. This uniquely formulated anti-foaming agent reduces surface tension so bubbles are Axed before they can form. Foam Axe actually increases head formation in the finished beer by retaining foam forming proteins that would have normally blown off during fermentation. Use it in your boil kettle to prevent boil-overs for a cleaner, safer process. Then add Foam Axe to your fermenter to reduce Krausen, save beer, and increase the volume capacity of your fermenter. I actually had my mom crochet us some beards to match our winter hats, flannel shirts, and work boots and gloves. However, something was missing... a prop... Well, I felt the urge to build something, so might as well build two prop axes for us for our costumes. I drew out a paper template so that the axe head would be the right size in comparison to my handle. I then cut out two shapes from EVA foam - 1 side and 1 inverse side. (pic 1)
