About this deal

While this book is not as dark as the first one, we can still see how dark and broken Orea can be, especially for women, and how tough Auren’s life has been.

As Auren tries to come to terms with the conflicting feelings she has for Commander Rip, and the fractures of trust she has in her King, she is also encouraged by those who are meant to be her enemy to step out of the role as the gilded prisoner, and be herself.I also offer a variety of advertising, and promotional options for your book, as well as author assistance and BETA reading. idk why there was Malinas POV considering shes not that interesting, but i want no more of it and hope its replaced with Rips in the next book. After her growth and change, while traveling with the Fourth’s soldiers, Auren needed to be back with Midas to realize that what she’d thought was love for all those years was in fact manipulation and greed. The Pacing Is Still Very Slow…While there are some major high points in the story that really add some excitement and unpredictability in the story, it takes you a bit longer than you’d maybe like to admit…. Add it: Goodreads Goodreads Summary: For ten years, I’ve lived in a gilded cage inside King Midas’s golden castle.

It’s still a slow burn, so slow that literally nothing has even happened yet except the shadow of an idea but I’m into it.

Auren finds herself able to roam around the army and meets others who make her eventually question her world and loyalties.

Obwohl auch in diesem Band besonders im Mittelteil die Handlung unaufregend blieb und es mehr um Dialoge und Charakterdynamiken ging, fühlte es sich in Band 2 um einiges runder an. She comes face to face with many hard truths, and while she's not ready to acknowledge all of them, she makes significant progress. The way he’s portrayed as a big bad villain, but was actually respectful and even kinda sweet, and the way he questioned and pushed Auren even though she didn’t like it, just so she could realize exactly how badly Midas treated her, and how much more she could be. I don't know if the bones in my body are as gold as the rest of me, but for my sake, I hope they are.

But it’s not enough to detract from the plot or keep me from bothering everyone around me UNTIL THEY READ THIS. She is a captive, but she is not in a cage, nor is she insulted or treated like an object or a whore.
