A recently renovated visitor centre, it is well worth a visit to explore Glenkinchie’s rich heritage. The palate brings stewed fruit, honey and touches of creamy lemon cheesecake are balanced by crisp apple, light grassy elements and cut flowers.The new name came from the Kinchie Burn running through the glen, which itself derives its name from “de Quincey” who originally owned the land and burn. Glenkinchie lies, as the name might suggest, in a glen of the Kinchie Burn near the village of Pencaitland, East Lothian. I'm whiskey/whisky/bourbon layman, but am more well versed with cognac and rums, with Doorly's 12 being my favourite.
