About this deal

A "CLEAR" label appears in the center, and it divides the bar into two color-coded segments, red and yellow, which respectively represent poor and good performance.

Donkey Kong Country (1994, SNES) • Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (1995, SNES) • Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! The player controls Donkey Kong through various side-scrolling levels as he collects bananas, swings on vines, chains combos, rides animals, and defeats enemies and bosses. One of the primary criticisms, however, was the lack of past characters and elements from Rare's Donkey Kong Country games. He felt that the game would appeal to a busy person because it did not contain long save or load times. The debut project of the 65-member Nintendo EAD Tokyo, Jungle Beat 's development began around July 2003, after Shigeru Miyamoto suggested that Nintendo should commission a new Donkey Kong game. From classic Nintendo tunes to popular songs, the Donkey Konga Bongos let you drum your way through a diverse selection of music, providing endless hours of rhythmic fun. Please note that there are currently restrictions in place for shipments to Russia for items items over 2KG.

The bar gradually fills up for every note hit by the player, but it contrarily decreases for every missed note. The graphics, while bland and lacking several layers of polish, get the job done without causing too much of an eye-sore. It follows the gorilla Donkey Kong as he sets out to defeat a series of evil kings to conquer the jungle.

During gameplay, Donkey Kong earns two coins for every beat that he hits with perfect timing, or one coin for regularly-timed beats. The Japanese, North American, and PAL region versions have different track lists, and in the North American version of the first two games, almost all of the licensed non-Nintendo/traditional songs are shortened covers.

Along with Masanori Sato, prominent Super Mario franchise illustrator Yoichi Kotabe served as graphic support. The controller is shaped like a pair of drums made out of barrels, which match the theme of the Donkey Kong games. During the Refurbish and Inspection process original consoles may have minor internal or external parts replaced with brand new 3rd party parts including but not limited to lasers, switches, capacitors, thermal paste, pin connectors, buttons, batteries, etc. Nintendo's showing was considered "[b]old, energetic, full of attitude and unexpected surprises", [22] and IGN described Jungle Beat as "[t]he sleeper hit of the show" and wrote that attendees did not want to stop playing its presented demo.

MTV noted that the DK Bongos were introduced before instrument-controlled games like Guitar Hero became popular, suggesting audiences were apprehensive towards the concept. Jungle Beat was released when Donkey Kong had mostly been relegated to spin-offs and supporting roles in other Nintendo franchises, following Microsoft's acquisition of Rare. A displayed scoreboard counts by accuracy (Great, OK, and Bad) along with the number of missed beats. Based on the concept of street performance, Donkey Kong can perform songs and earn Coins, which he can use to purchase unlockables at DK Town.

Donkey Kong Barrel Blast was originally planned to use the Bongos before it was switched from the Nintendo GameCube to the Wii. The DK Bongos feature three primary buttons: the two drums and a start button on the middle section. The developers reflected the simplicity through the story, which only features Donkey Kong trying to be "the best"; they sought to narrate through the gameplay instead. In US version, the two songs "Diddy's Ditties" and "Campfire Medley" were meant to be a children nursery rhyme songs. EAD Tokyo prioritized simplicity; [13] Shimizu said that because contemporary video games took considerable time to complete and lost appeal if an individual had to stop playing, Jungle Beat 's levels were designed to take between five and ten minutes without any shortcuts.

The Sydney Morning Herald gave it four stars out of five, praising the graphics, environments and gameplay, but complained of the game's short length. All four gameplay modes (except Challenge) have three levels of difficulty modes, from lowest to highest: Monkey, Chimp, and Gorilla. Hitting the individual drums causes Donkey Kong to move; the player hits both drums to jump and claps in front of the DK Bongos' built-in microphone to send a shockwave.
