To prevent the battery from completely draining when the Smart is not being used for a long time, it is recommended to fully turn it off after charging it. This is done by pressing the reset button, holding both the reset and front button down until the ROM screen shows up, and letting the Smart idle on that screen until it turns off.
The sprites for the egg, Pachikutchi, and Pichikutchi are all recycled from the original Tamagotchi Nano. The Tamagotchi Smart is smaller than previous color-screen models, measuring 6.5 centimeters tall (approx. 2.5 inches), making it similar in size and weight to the Tamagotchi Connection and Tamagotchi Plus models. The one thing about the Tamagotchi Meets that really sets it apart from its predecessors is the “Mix” function. If you marry another tamagotchi, their child will inherit genes from its parents. So for example, if your tama marries Hello Kitty, then their child may inherit Hello Kitty’s bow. They might also inherit their parent’s preferences for certain foods or toys. The Tamagotchi may occasionally be delayed in their evolution for a few hours, but this is not necessarily due to the Peter Pan glitch. Waiting for 1-2 days without sending the Tamagotchi to the app or changing the time will usually result in the Tamagotchi evolving by then. Otherwise, it's safe to assume the Peter Pan glitch is the case.
